Hi all, my name is Matt, an animal lover with 3 furboys of my own. Now I am a full time pet carer and will be working to become a dog trainer in the not too distant future. Living with 2 border collies I know how to keep them enriched with games and of course exercise. I have had the pleasure of fostering a number of rescue dogs with Precious Paws over the last few years, so my boys and I have all
had a range of experience with different guests of differing sizes, breeds and temperaments. I do plan to take on fosters again in the future but until then I will be offering my services as a Pet carer. I attend the sunshine coast dog obedience club once a week with my Border collie Bear where we do various activities including obedience and scentwork working our way up to trialing, especially in scentwork. At this stage I am still a learner but an added bonus if you book me is that I will be happy to give your pets a little on the side positive training while they are on their stay! I have had great success training various behavioual issues out of my foster dogs and have worked with other fearful and anxious dogs with good success. MY HOUSE:
I have a fully fenced and quite secure yard with enough space to entertain 2 border collies easily, not huge but not tiny. I have also constructed an extra secure gated area up one side of my house that I needed for one of my more challenging foster boys. I leave it open but it can be used if needed if you have an escape artist! My house is tiled in the main areas and all my pets have free range of the house and yard during the day and when I am home. At night I usually keep everyone inside as I don't let my cat out of a night time. I can have my cat in a seperate area if your pooch needs 24/7 access to the outside for more frequent toileting. My neighbours are all dog friendly and/or have dogs themselves, but if you have a problem barker we will need to talk before I take them on as it is a very quiet neighbourhood. SERVICES:
Dog boarding - I do at least 2 active things a day every morning and afternoon, most often a trip to the beach and a walk in the local area as well as ball games and hide and seek with treats etc. *All dogs will be kept on harness and lead when out and about until I know them and their capabilities when outside. Dog daycare - The day will often include a trip to the beach and if not at least a couple of walks in the local area plus ball games and hide and seek with treats etc. *All dogs will be kept on harness and lead when out and about until I know them and their capabilities when outside. Dog walking - Walks range in time as required in the local area with more/varied activities available upon request. Home Visits - I visit your home to feed your pets, fill water stations, clean kitty litter, water plants, whatever you need. Once the duties are done remaining time will be spent walking your dogs, playing with cats etc etc.
A trip to the 'Deus track' this afternoon to get some photos of Jasmine and have a dip in the dam!

Jasmin has now been desexed and will be staying with me until we find her a furever home! Will be posting more about this soon, but if anyone knows anyone let me know!

OMG SHE DID IT! Pink has become the first greyhound to help her human achieve OLYMPIC GOLD!🥇 Congratulations to this hard-working long dog, who has been referred to as the "assistant coach" and training partner of legendary human, slalom canoe champion Jessica Fox who is now an Olympic gold medalist after a breathtaking performance in gay Paris overnight.
You know what they say, behind every great human is a greyt long dog (congratulations to Jess too 💙)

Birthday lunch at Parklands tavern trying out the new doggy areas.
Always a good feed there and now that you can take the dogs until 5pm we will probably have a few more lunches there!

Well, we get wet!
Strange things are afoot at the circle K.
Owait, that's my house!
New front fence plus some extra internal fences going up.
The internal fences will make pick ups and drop offs much easier and relatively bark free.
Will also give us some more areas to do activities and lets not forget our feline friends. Shadowcat will get some improved freedom with new outside netting to come soon.
Could Otto's pet care become Dog AND cat friendly? Hmm, we will see.
Had all the good bois out on a walk 'before the rain' this morning.
I asked one of them to sit while I untangled a lead, not really trying to practice sit/stays, but they all put their asses on the ground, so I took the chance to snap a few pictures in front of the Canal!
However, we conducted a formal sit stay before they crossed the road to go home. This can be challenging at times because they are getting a little thirsty by then, but they all passed with flying colors.

He was definitely less worried, even came outside!

I know it doesn't rhyme but dogs can't read, they will just skip to the pictures anyway.
Have had a few new dogs here for the holidays.
I just wanted to introduce a new 'big white dog' to you all to show off to Sandra and Jen that I have other shepherds come and stay!
Here is Lucy! She had a baptism of fire with all the storms but really enjoyed the company of some of the other younger dogs staying (Jimba and Henry).
Looks like she will become a regular here!
Sawyer the Boss dog is back for the new year. So lucky he will be back for a week late January as well.
Sawyer is in his retirement years but was a working dog back when he was a young un. He worked with not only children but also troubled dogs to help rehabilitate them.
It really shows as even in his senior years he is perfect in how he deals with every doggo that comes here even if they are a bit challenging.
Might have to hire him to come back as it looks like I will be taking on a foster again very soon, so watch this space.

The OG Bear turns a big 7 years old today!
That makes it over 4 years I have had the pleasure of this fellas company and the change of life that has come with it! Still seems like this is just the beginning of our journey!

Meet Eddie who has come to stay with us for the weekend.
He has hit it off with everyone and I think the mop will need an extra workout on monday to deal with the extra big amounts of drool!

I can't help but get attached to these doggos, and when one leaves after spending an extended time with us, it's almost like saying goodbye to a pack member. 🐕💔
Bear was really getting into her antics, and even Mocha was letting her give him a little lick. The dynamics were just starting to feel so right.
It's amazing how these furry friends can leave such an impact on us, whether it's a short-term or long-term stay. 🐶💕 Saying goodbye is never easy, but I'm grateful for the joy and memories shared during Bella's time with us.
Can't wait to see you next time Miss Bella!
