We love a good party and yesterday we got to celebrate Laya’s 7th Birthday at Daycare.

We are extremely happy that we get to have Laya join us each week. Her development in socialising with her friends has come such a long way since joining us and it brings us so much joy that we get to see her run and play with her group of friends.

Exciting Collaboration with The Canine Collective Australia.

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of a breakfast meeting with The Canine Collective Australia.

As many of you know, we’re often cautious about partnering with trainers because of our open-minded philosophy - one that welcomes all dogs regardless of their behaviour as well as the best strategies to keep the owners and dogs safe without judgement. This approach isn’t always aligned with the current popular training methods, but we’re thrilled to have connected with such an innovative and inclusive team.

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be collaborating on a number of events in 2025! The first of these will take place during Seniors Week in March.

Keeping training fun!

A lot of clients and trainers often forget that training your dog should be fun. Whilst, yes, there is times when training needs to be serious. There is also times when dogs and the handler alike just need a bit of fun in the session.

For the dog adding in something just for fun, like a spin, touch or weave command can make all the difference in having a dog switch off during a session or getting that little pop of endorphins which helps them continue in their session.

Always remember to have fun with your dog and to keep training light some days! 🐾

Macy testing out the platform which is from our new set of agility equipment in our yards. The dogs all absolutely have loved getting to play on and learn how to use the equipment.

On Mondays we get to see for her walk and train. Hazel is just the sweetest lady and we enjoy our time with her! During her last Monday session we also had her daughter Billie Roux join us! We worked on their recall, focus, loose leash walking and obedience together. 🎓

Just because your dog is reactive on leash doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy the fun of daycare like these two gorgeous girls 😍

Both Ivy and Mazie can be reactive when on leash but when at daycare they are the best of friends🐾 With the right supervision and a carefully managed environment, reactive dogs can thrive in a daycare setting.
