Love getting horses out for adventures. So lucky I get to work with both these Queens. Always willing to have a go and enjoy the adventure..

How awesome is this view!? Love getting horses out and about to be exposed to new things. Helps them find their brave and increase confidence... Even better when its with friends 😀

Love caring for other horses and riding them, but nothing feels as good as jumping back on my heart horse.. Despite months off he was an absolute gem for his walk out.. The same way we cant go from months off training or exercise and expect to run a marathon, it is the same with horses. Slow reintroduction to exercise to rebuild the fitness and strength as well recreate habit and consistency...

Always a great feeling when the horses you work with and care for trust you enough to lay with them...
This poor darling has had the worst abscess blow outs so had been on extensive stable rest with daily care and back in the paddock with the quieter herd with daily care. She is an asbolute gem. So precious🥰

Long post but worth the read😉
Wanting to give you all an idea of who I am, what I enjoy and what I offer.... I am slightly changing my direction away from training for the time being so will update when this changes. But for now this is the direction I am taking:
Who I am: A girl who lives in Yamba who loves being in the presence of horses whether it is riding, grooming, tending to their needs when injured or well.

What I enjoy: I enjoy riding horses in different places to show that they can be brave and have great experiences when I am with them, I enjoy the caring side of things - grooming and tending to their illnesses. I enjoy being in their presence and watching them in their own space to learn how they move, interact with each other, learn their personalities and natural behaviours. I enjoy challening myself and them to grow together.

What I offer: Getting miles under their belt, bringing them back into work, exposing to new sceneries such as new trail rides in the state forests, caring when they are sick or you are away or just dont have time every day to tend to their needs, exercising, I treat every horse with respect through a firm but kind hand and understand they all have different needs and adjust accordingly.

Doing what I enjoy most, taking horses on adventures to get them used to new environments. Nikki was an absolute gem to float, travel and ride in a new spot and go home. Was even better sharing this experience with others. Was a sketchy path but the horses worked it out on their own. Just give them their head, hold on to the saddle and let them work out best path to take🥰

Johnny aka Kinder Surprise. Taken on a different path to previous rides and he sure wasnt as comfortable as previous rides where he knows the path.
At the moment it is so darn wet that I have to stick to road side to get a ride in as every other path is that soggy it isnt suitable to ride down. Such a great little man.

So hard getting rides in between rain and treating issues caused by the rain. Absolutely love riding this gem... Nikki

Kaydee.... Such a gem 💎 to ride... Scared but brave... All I ask is that they try...

Johnny... aka Kinder Surprise... Sweet little man... 🥰😀

Johnny aka Kinder Surprise. Absolute gem with flat work and poles. Up for sale for someone who is confident and NOT a beginner. $3,500

23/03/2022

Got Johnny aka Kinder Surprise back in full time work. He is up for sale, $3,500. He will just keep getting better with his rides. Does need a confident rider, NOT for beginners!

Johnny is back in work after having time off (various reasons including flood and wet weather😒). We did flat work (camera kept falling over from the wind so no video sorry). We rode out on our own and had a good run out and he was great! He was so great to bath and ride! Johnny is up for sale. You will see more videos of him as we work and ride together prepping him for his new home whereever that may be😀

Hope everyone stayed safe and well throughout these floods. Really feeling for those who have lost. 😔

With all of these flood waters I highly recommend to monitor your horses (and other livestock) wellbeing, they dont always show signs of illness straight away but one thing which is going to be common for us all is Greasy Heel😣 signs may be scabby bits on heels and legs right up to the knee and even on the face! It will feel oily (greasy). They may develop swollen fetlocks aswell. A good way to treat this (as recommended by vet) is to hose off any dirt / mud etc. Get this product and put a pump into a bucket with 2litres water (have it bubbly) and lightly scrub affected areas (I have been doing all their lower legs) to help remove dead bits (do not scrub vigorously, if it doesnt come off all good, it will in time. Once you have scrubbed the dead bits away get another half pump in your hands and rub all over the horses legs and heels. Repeat every second day. It is like betadine but lasts longer. Honestly works a treat!

Take care and stay safe

This kid honestly has my heart like no other. Weather was still nice after my work was done so took him out for a quick ride to see where he is at. He was an absolute dream! I was smiling the whole time and feels so good to be back on him. He did throw quite a few head toss and pig roots in but that was expected, not once did I feel unsafe. Just sat there and embraced letting him do his thing..

**Not all horses feel safe like him when doing this so they are worked differently... Fridays is pure excitement and joy to be out...

Big boy has had a few months off due to a major laceration to his near fore side. Had our first ride back and got him dressed up in Equestrian Rider Apparel , love the saddle pad. So pretty for a pretty boy🥰

Been a bit quiet with posts for many reasons. Beautiful Nikki and I got a good couple rides in last week, this was one of them. Am getting her out on her own more as she got too used to have a friend out and about. Coming along like a champ she is...

Lily
With others she is great, she is great on her own but she still has her "spooky" moments where she is constantly alert of her surroundings. This pregnant mumma loves her run outs and just getting out and about.

07/01/2022

Nikki, Julia and her new pony Tory🥰

06/01/2022

Poured down with rain, so in the tack shed we go to get dried off and raincoat on...

05/01/2022

Johnny has improved so much. Definitely less spooky with smaller movements. Today was Julias first ride as Tory being her horse (she has ridden her plenty of times but has officially bought her). Johnny is up for sale and suited to a confident rider.

05/01/2022

Too windy to ride so walk out for exercise for Maisy. She really enjoys walking out and does her really good to help loosen up her joint and get some exercise.

01/01/2022

Ba****ck morning. Was going to ride Tory but Lily got humpy when Julia got on her so I jumped on the humpy pregnant mare. Great once we got out... I enjoy all aspects of horses - riding, ground, ba****ck, washing, grooming and just making them feel loved.

27/12/2021

Education on little Tory. Is good to ensure a soft stop, trot and we are not cantering all the time which she much prefers!

Merry Christmas to you all!

Maisy....
Have had severe wisdom tooth pain but still putting in the work. My first lunge session with Maisy, she tested me to see if I was her leader, I think she quickly learnt that I am the leader. She is a real sweetheart this girl.

21/12/2021

I often find horses dont like this yellow jacket so I like to bring it out and throw it over them to show it isnt so scary. Tinsel aswell is great to desensitise due to the glittery bling... Maisy is really great with on ground bravery through consistent work.. Consistency is generally key with a lot of things.

20/12/2021

Often the importance of regular handling goes overlooked as does regular grooming and cleaning of the hooves. Before any session, I ALWAYS spend at least 20 minutes grooming a horse and ensuring there is no pain or any injury so I know they are sound for the training. Maisy here still has some psychological issues with her belly being touched but she has improved so much!

13/12/2021

Kaydee... Is a very smart horse who picks things up quickly. Has the most beautiful gaits when she feels confident. She is a new horse for me to ride and experience, when with others she is an absolute delight. This is the first bit of the ride where we rode with others but we did venture off alone down the road... video of that to come!
