What a wonderful way to give back to the community! This vending machine in Istanbul dispenses dog food when people recycle bottles, showing us that small acts of kindness can go a long way. It’s a great reminder that every little effort, whether recycling or helping an animal in need, makes the world a better place. Let’s inspire positive change in every way we can. ♻️🐾

Who gets to keep the dog? 🐶 Changes to the Family Law Act, which take effect next week, will mean pets will be considered part of the family in divorce matters.

Before making their decision, judges overseeing separation or divorce proceedings will need to look at things like who has the stronger bond with the pet, who can look after it in the future and any animal abuse history.

Currently, when a relationship breaks down, pets are treated as property and divvied up accordingly, like pots and pans or furniture.

We delivered a report to the AGM of Yankalilla District Residents Association last Thursday night. It's a good way to catch up with where we are. Here it is, or you can find it on the YDRA website.

We had a productive meeting with Council staff - also last Thursday. We will need to meet with them again soon with detailed specs for the park, and they will hopefully have a user agreement draft for us. There is progress. 🌟

It was Spa Day at Victor Harbor Dog Park on Friday. With mud(dy) packs a speciality.😅 Followed closely by Jack Russell Sunday. Looking forward to fun like this in our own District Dog Park.🙏

Even in the Wild West, they are building dog parks! Our proposed site in Bungala Park goes to public consultation soon. Look for it on the YOUR SAY YANKALILLA website
