Exciting news! YDC today approved an agreement for our group to build a dog park and access ramp in Bungala Reserve. We can now start buying materials and rounding up our volunteers. Watch out for the grand opening in 2026. On the same page at last!

Our thanks to the Council staff who have worked so hard on gathering information to create an agreement for our group to build a dog park here. Thank you also to the Councillors who contributed to the discussion yesterday at the Elected Members Information Session.

We are hopeful that the written agreement will be on the Agenda for final agreement at the November Council meeting. Stick with us! We will need some extra hands to help build the park

The draft agreement between YDRA and the Council is STILL being created. The situation is unique in Australia, we think. A Council owned, publicly available dog park, fully funded and built by community effort.
