Vanessa is at it again with her ICU nursing in the oxygen tent!

One of our golden oldies

Little Dixie (she is very tiny), has severe heart disease, but
required a general anaesthetic and surgery today (unfortunately not something we could avoid). 🤨

We took a few weeks getting her little body as strong as possible before her procedure. 💪💊

Safe to say she gave us a few frights, but has pulled through like the little champion she is! 🏆

Well done Dixie and the team for getting this precious little one home and happy...🤩

Thanks to quick thinking of the lady who found him, he is expected to make a full recovery! 😁

He has now gone to a specialised raptor carer for his rehabilitation, then release back to where he was found. ❤

🤩 Thank you so much to one of our amazing clients for providing him with some food while he recovered with us. 🐭

Well….
She’s not just sitting down on the job 😂

She’s actually monitoring a patient recovering from general anaesthesia. 😳

This plastic tent is actually an oxygen tent, where patients can receive 100% oxygen, compared to 21% in air! 😱

It makes for a much safer recovery especially for our patients with compromised airways. Hiding in her blanket is a little older patient that needed just a little extra TLC or ICU. 🥰

It’s so beneficial for our special needs patients as it’s hands free, so there is less stress than an oxygen face mask.
