Not only are we very proud to have one of the very few Johnson mares in Australia, Flowervale Jasmine, in our breeding programme but our imported Elite KWPN mare J’Adore, by the WBFSH 3rd ranked Dressage Sire, Blue Hors Zack is herself out of a Johnson mare!

This lineage (Familie de Baey, Lemgo) produced the Olympic Champions Ahlerich (ridden by the Dr Reiner Klimke) and Rembrandt (Nicole Uphoff), as well as the great foundation stallion Rubinstein and Olympic Silver Medalist, Amon (Annemarie Sanders Keyzer). Congratulations to Samantha Dummett and the stunning Flowervale Diamond Deluxe (Daily Diamond x Florencio) on winning the 🏆YV APSB Grand Champion All Breeds 2yo Challenge!

Superb ET filly by 2023 4yo Bundeschampion Escanto PS (Escamillo x Furstenball x Totilas) from imported Elite KWPN mare, J’Adore (Zack x Johnson x Houston).

Sire: Escanto PS was accepted for Oldenburg breeding in January 2022. Four months later the Hanoverian verband also approved him. He won the shortened stallion performance test with a whopping 9,43 and did a 50-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in the autumn of 2022. Here he was reported to show “Fantastic willingness to perform, very good basic paces (9.0 for trot, 9.5 for canter, 8.5 for walk) and a fantastic 10 for rideability by the test rider”: in 2022, Escanto PS was the only stallion to pass his stallion performance test in Schlieckau with a final score above nine, 9.12 to be precise.

Under American Brandi Roenick he won the 2023 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede followed by gold at the 2023 Bundeschampionate. In 2024 Escanto won the Oldenburg Main Premium Title.

In the spirit of getting back into the groove we headed back to Boneo Park on Sunday for day 2 the fabulous Carlton Performance Horses Dressage Championships which as always, were brilliantly run by Jade Woodhead Butler.
(Sadly that pesky little thing called ‘work’ meant we could not make it to Day 1 on Saturday).

A couple of fairly full on work weeks meant I was a little flat & lacking in energy on Sunday and truth be told, I feel I let our boy down but as always, our gorgeous Watermill Wedgwood stepped up and gave 110% and we placed 2nd in the 3.2 and 4th in the 3.3.

It truly is such a privilege to have such an amazing stallion who even in breeding season is so impeccably well behaved and well mannered. He is truly a dream to have around.

Super fun also to be out with Jacqui Librio and her gorgeous Fonz in our matching saddles from Bruce Smith Saddler -Saddleworld 💖

Born 25 September, this amazing embryo transfer c**t by Total Hope from our stunning imported Elite KWPN mare Nefertiti Salland (Expression x Fuerst Heinrich x Gribaldi) is quite simply the ‘total package’.

Sire: Total Hope is the result of a cross of the amazing multiple World & European Champion, Totilas and the amazing Weihegold, herself, an Oldenburg champion mare, Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize winner and, under Isabell Werth, Olympic and three-time World Cup winner as well as four-time European champion.

Total Hope started his career as a Swedish licensing winner, dressage horse champion, World Dressage Horse Championship finalist (6 years old) and World Championships bronze winner (7 years old). He is the only stallion to win both the Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize winner and this year gave a beautiful performance at the Paris Olympics.

Dam: Nefertiti Salland Elite KWPN (Expression x Furst Heinrich x Gribaldi) is a beautiful mare who passed her IBOP (performance mare test) with over 80% at just 3yo prior to being imported to Australia. She has already produced a number of outstanding foals for us here at Flowervale.

This exceptional c**t has Grand Prix blood coursing through his veins, evident in his natural ability to sit and come up in front and to shorten and lengthen his frame with the greatest of ease.

After a couple of months of not making it to competitions due to mares foaling, we made it to Boneo Park yesterday for the beautifully run Westernport Dressage Club Premier Cup with our gorgeous boy, Watermill Wedgwood.

It was our first time competing on arenas 1 & 2 but as always, Wedgwood was impeccably behaved. A little bit of tension creeping in meant our first test was not one of our best but we settled in better in our second test for a third place 🥉 and 2nd in the AOR.

With every single outing we get compliments and remarks on what a beautiful and well behaved stallion Wedgwood is and yesterday was no exception. Feeling truly blessed to have him 💖.

🦄 The Filly Fairy has visited again!! 🦄

Recipient mare Lizzy has safely delivered our second last foal for the season at 4am this morning. This time we have an absolutely gorgeous filly by Dynamic Dream (Dream Boy x Sir Donnerhall 1) from our beautiful imported Elite KWPN mare, J’Adore (Zack x Johnson x Houston)

Yesterday we headed out with our gorgeous Watermill Wedgwood to the beautiful Lachaby Farm for a super poles lesson with the amazing Sue Chandler. Although not Wedgwood’s first poles session by a long shot, I’m pretty green and it was our first poles lesson together. Wedgwood was impeccably behaved as always. We had a super group of riders and had a lot of fun! I’m pretty sure Wedgwood was looking for the cross country course by the time we finished but I’ll be happy to stick with the poles lessons for now 😂
