On behalf of the Derwent family, we would like to thank everyone for wearing blue on Saturday for recognition of Russell Derwent 💙
A huge thank you to Andrew Stanton and Rob Laurie for holding a small memorial for Russ.

We also want to thank our judges, timekeepers, gate people, canteen, cattle donors, cattle cartage, cattle work helpers and anyone who did help on the weekend. We wouldn’t have been able to do the event without you.

We have received an update from CapriZ’s wood fire pizza and unfortunately they aren’t able to make it this evening.

Sorry for the inconvenience. If you would like dinner there is the pub and club in the main street of Taralga.

Taralga Team Sorting - Saturday Open Runs
Starting at 7am - office and canteen will be open from 6am.
If you have not completed your waivers, memberships forms/code of conducts, they are required to be done before your first run.
Our Membership Officer will be at the office collecting memberships in the morning.

To all competitors this weekend at Taralga Team Sorting:

We will be starting both days at 7am.

We have been asked kindly by the Taralga AP&H to not camp or go into the show ring area as it’s just been recently sown due to the rodeo.
There are also to be no horses or vehicles on the football field.

There has also been recent works around the arena to help with stormwater drainage. Please be careful when riding or crossing it.

The office will be open in the afternoon to sign waivers and check your runs. If you haven’t already, please go and fill in your membership forms and code of conduct forms with our Membership Officer Kim Waddell.

Although we are excited to start our first Team Sorting event of the season at Taralga this weekend.
We are saddened to share the passing of Russell Derwent - a valued, loving and respected man who played a major role in the Team Sorting Community.
Russell was a Judge, Cattle Donor, a family member and friend to the community for the last 15+ years.

On behalf of the Derwent Family, we kindly ask competiors, spectators and families to please wear the colour blue on Saturday as recognition of Russell 💙

The Taralga Show Committee has notified us that fires are allowed at Taralga Showground this weekend. They will need to be in a fire pit off the ground please.

This may also change depending on the weather.

They will also be running the Canteen both Saturday and Sunday starting around 6am.

We are looking forward to you attending!

‼️ Update Taralga Team Sorting - 22nd- 23 February 2025 ‼️

Taralga sorting entries are now full and will be held at the Taralga Showground. If you have not received a reply in regard to your entries they have not arrived. Please contact Emma (0455 583 994) if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you to everyone entering. We are looking forward to the new season commencing! 😊

If you still wish to enter, you can do so and be placed on the wait list in case any team drops out of the event.

All riders, please organise memberships prior to the event or on the day. It’s a requirement to compete at any Southern NSW Team Sorting Event.
It will make everything run a lot smoother if riders organise there memberships ASAP. All information and forms are on the website and please return to our Membership Officer Kim Waddell.
