The fine can reach $1320 if your dog is found to rush at, attack, bite, harass, or chase any person/animal.

Let's keep our community safe and not put our beloved pets in situations where they may end up on nuisance, menacing or dangerous dog orders with strict control conditions and expansive ramifications for the owner.

Meet Benjamin Button. He is only young at 3 years of age, but is an old soul at heart and has blossomed in care into a confident and happy young man.

🧡 Benny is on the quiet side but when he finds playful, gentle dogs at the park or beach, he absolutely lights up with joyful energy. We feel Benjamin is best suited to a home with a confident dog he can learn from. He doesn’t quite understand playing with his humans just yet but dog games he gets and loves!

🧡 Because of his isolated upbringing he can find sudden noises on his walk frightening, but due to the improvements he has made in foster care, we have no doubt that with gentle, positive training he will continue to blossom.

🧡 Children over 10 will be considered, Benny boy adores affection and would live to snuggle up on the couch after a day of adventuring. He requires an overall quiet home as he is still adjusting to suburban life.

🧡 He walks calmly on a leash and is quite happy trotting down to the café for a weekend brunch. He just wants to be part of a family. Turns out that his latest trick is thievery, he has started sneaking random items that are not his into his bed. He doesn’t chew them, he is just stockpiling for the apocalypse.

🧡 Benny has a high maintenance coat that will require regular brushing. He loves being groomed, he thinks it is just a really nice cuddle and will happily let you brush out the knots.

🧡 Specific breed experience is not required, but experience with working breeds will be treated favourably in the application.

🧡 Exercise: Ben is a young, athletic boy, whilst he is generally calm in nature he does love to get his run on, his dabbled in swimming and must have a daily walk and some play to keep him happy.

🧡 Access inside, always! Benjamin is housetrained and lives for couch cuddles. He likes his daily adventure but just as much his time inside being pampered like all good boys deserve.

🧡 Location: Benjamin is in care in Canberra and only adoptable in the ACT and NSW.
