Introducing Miss Pippi!
This eye catching young mare is absolutely perfect for someone wanting to further their horsemanship skills. She has had a bit of a rough start but has a true desire to please. Standing at approximately 14hh, and 8 years old, she is fully mature in mind and body and ready to be started.
Since coming to me as a very traumatised young horse back in 2018, she has developed and blossomed into the beautiful little mare that she is today. She is currently rugged and has had her front feet trimmed (back feet are in good nick.) Teeth have recently been floated as well. She has been bridled and desensitised with the lead rope and is very close to being ride ready.
We have worked extensively with body control on the ground, disengaging her hindquarters while on the circle. Yielding her shoulders out of the circle. Bending to a stop. Lateral flexing on both side, and beginning the work for leg yeilding once ridden. I have good experience breaking horses in, and have been thrilled with her problem solving ability and can do attitude.
Absolutely everything I throw at her she takes in her stride. She is very trusting, and while absolutely will have a spook at first, she uses her head well and thinks things through. If I had the time and health I'd finish her, but she will make a wonderful horse for someone else to practice their horsemanship skills with.
She is not blemish free but she is sound. She is in good body condition though does have rub marks on her shoulders. She can take a little to catch, but not more than 5 minutes. With work she will make an amazing all-rounder or pony club mount. A worthy addition to any herd, and a favourite with the other agistees.
