I believe clear, unambiguous training is the basis to all modalities of horse-rider interactions, regardless of discipline. I am a qualified coach and train all types of horse and rider, including the novice, the weekend trail rider and those with competitive aspirations. In 2003, I t
ravelled to Europe and worked in a professional dressage stable to experience the sport at an International level. With a science background, I had always been concerned about the lack of behaviour science and Learning Theory in the application of traditional horse training methodologies and I sought to find a more sustainable, ethical, evidence-based approach. In 2010 I began training exclusively with Andrew and Manuela McLean at Australian Equine Behaviour Centre and immersed myself in the ground-breaking field of Equitation Science – the only evidence-based training system in the world incorporating ethology, biomechanics, cognition and Learning Theory. I graduated with an Associate Diploma in Equitation Science and I am continuing with further studies into the future as this exciting new field continues to develop. http://www.esi-education.com/espractitionersau/
