I just saw this post on a schnauzer site. PLEASE PEOPLE skirt around them. They roll up in a ball out of fear. A dog is a natural preditor as are humans to these animals. Our native wildlife have enough to contend with with the loss of so much natural habitat. They have to try and live amongst us, so just leave them be.

Due to the fact I just don't get time to chat to everyone inquiring about our pups, please understand this. I can get up to 30 inquiries in a week. Some people chat for an hour. I can spend an hour chatting, then they ask price, and can't get off quick enough. I also don't answer anyone who messages a one liner like ."How much are your puppies" If that is all you have to ask me, then you are obviously searching for the cheapest pup you can find. This is our procedure which I know works for me and I'm sure saves any embarrasment to the caller.

Price and explains why ours cost more than some Gumtree or Trading Post Unregistered puppies. . You get what you pay for, plus ongoing support for as long as I'm still vertical 😆 If you are happy with what you have read, then I am happy to chat. I apologise if this doesn't work for some, but it gives me more time to spend with my dogs and my normal day to day jobs running a small property.

Little Umami got his big boy groom at 11.3 weeks old. He left here with a full clip and I regularly had clippers on him. He got an A+ from Uncanny Animals in Yarraville well done for giving a proper groom. Well done Ibo for not leaving it for too long for his next groom. Thanks Ibo for the video. Umami is a Georgie Basil son.

To all those picking up pups and already have them from my last 2 litters. Your pups go with a full clip. Make sure you book them in for another clip at 12 to latest 14 weeks of age. The groomers can give a proper groom not a puppy clip. If the give them a little break in BTW. You pay good $$ for puppy grooms and most don't look like they've been clipped at all. My pups are used to clippers. They've had the clippers on often. I use No 10 blade on body and shorter trimmers on ears. They need inside of ears done to avoid any ear infections. Around the ge***al areas also to avoid any infections. At home to make it less stressful buy a hand massager or the handle of an electric tooth brush. Run it over them regularly for the next 6 months when you are nursing them as often as you can. Lightly on the head. This will help to make their experience and groomers much less stressful.

I've found males just as smoochie as females, easier to train and as long as desexed by 6 months very clean from what I've heard.

Please read new puppy owners

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.
