Wow! 🐶😍
What an amazing weekend spent at the Cairns Canine Academy learning from the amazing international dog trainer Vera Drummond! 🐺🌍

We had a working spot this year so Edna and I got to put ourselves out there and learn from the best!

I am so proud of how Edna has grown and developed in her training and am extremely excited to see how we progress over the next year! 🥹

Also wanted to give an extra shout out to the other dogs and handlers who attended the workshop for being so friendly and welcoming.
And thanks to Andrea for being such a gracious host.

This was truly one of the most fun and encouraging environments to train that ive ever been a part of.

There was so much laughter and joy!

Cant wait to do it all over again next year! 🐾

Happy international dog day!!!
Here are a few snaps from our Puppy Socialising and Doggie Manners classes. 😊🐾🐶🌴
Everybody graduated last week with flying colours! 🎓
It’s been a really fun and at times an incredibly moving journey seeing these dogs and humans grow confidence and really enjoy their time together 🐾😁

We will be taking a few weeks off training classes then kicking off again next month. We can’t wait to meet a new batch of dogs and to see our pups return for doggie manners!
Now go out there and celebrate international dog day by doing something fun with your dog! 🐶 🐾

***UPDATE 2***After an overwhelming response, both class 1 & 2 are both FULLY BOOKED. Next Puppy class and next Doggie Manners class will begin on Thursday 18th of July, please message me if you would like to reserve a spot for the next round of classes!

Doggie Manners class is finally here!🐶🐾

Classes commence on Thursday 6th of June.
There are two separate class at the same level to accommodate everyone. Max 8 per class 😊

These classes will focus on developing skills that handlers and dogs need in their daily life to help making life with a dog as wonderful as it should be including:

Basic commands
Developing a solid stay
Recall (getting dog to come on command)
Loose-lead walking (teach your dog not to pull on the lead)
Ignoring distractions

And yes! Before you ask, you can teach an old dog new tricks! 🐾🌟

Bookings are essential!

Remember to wear closed in shoes, make sure your doggo has a good collar and lead, and lots of high value treats such as meat/cheese/whatever your dog loves to eat.

Please note - we will be taking a break from Puppy class during this time and bringing it back in 6 weeks time

These puppies have been working hard regardless of the weather as we are lucky enough to have such a great indoor & outdoor area 🐶 ⭐️
