The other half of the Potato Litter is finally settled into their new homes! It was a special joy to be able to see each of these babies’ new residence, and to meet each family member. 🥰 🏠

Spud will forever be a small potato boy as he is keeping his name. 🥔 He is living with his family in NY, and is happy to join the clan of kids and neighbor dogs. 💚

Hashbrown is now Alice. ✨ She is living with her new parents in MA, and is learning the ways of the household from her new big sister/Mini Bernie Peggy. Double cuteness, double trouble. 💕

French Fry’s new name is Daisy. 🌼 She has joined her family in ME, where she’s excited to be a true mountain dog! She’ll never lack for playmates thanks to her adoring human siblings. 💛

This has been a bittersweet week as I said goodbye to the first three Potato Puppies!

I cannot be more thrilled with their new families, and know that they are already being so well taken care of (and probably spoiled a bit 😁).

Tater Tot is now Zildjian (Zilly) 🥁, and is living with her dad in MA. She’ll be going everywhere with him as a working service dog, and will certainly be charming everyone she meets along the way! ✨

Potato Chip is now Frank! 💚 He remains an IN resident with his new parents, whom he already has wrapped around his chubby little paw. 🐾

Sweet Potato is now Sundae 🍨, and has joined her new family in MI. She will never lack for playmates or snuggles since her new human siblings adore her! 💞

The other three babies will head home next week. I have some more cuddle time!

Another puppy journey, another perfect new forever home 🥰🐾🏡

Little Chai and I flew to CA yesterday to meet his new Mama and extended family! He was an amazing traveler, and certainly the most popular passenger of our flight. ✨✈️

Chai’s new name is Rocky, and he’s already living the good life with tons of attention. 🖤🤍🤎

New Year, new introductions!

If you’re new here, meet Giselle! (Otherwise known as Zelly 🩵)

Zelly is two years old, though I call her my forever puppy for her babyish personality and darling face.

She’s my “I don’t really care about chasing the ball, I would rather you give me a hug” girl.
She’s my “I will hold onto you with my paws so you don’t stop the pets” girl.
She’s my couch hog girl.
She’s my smarty pants, look me in the eye, probably understand every word girl.
She’s my baby girl. 🥰

Zelly’s next litter is predicted for the first week of February, ready for homes in April!
Our pre-birth reservations are full on her litter, but we do have room on her waiting list!

She did it! Posie’s Fall Litter is here. 🍁🧡🐾
Eight beautiful, healthy Mini Berner puppies!
5 boys, 3 girls, all tri-colored and precious. 🥹

I am so proud of Posie, she did a phenomenal job, and is proving to be an amazing Mama already!
She hugged my neck with her head for most of the deliveries, which was precious but exhausting. 😆 Now she is resting and seems to be done, so we are counting our blessings with these 8 beautiful and uneventful births. 🥰🙌🏼

The Bernese Mountain Dog (German: Berner Sennenhund) is a large dog breed, one of the four breeds of Sennenhund-type dogs from Bern, Switzerland and the Swiss Alps. These dogs have roots in the Roman mastiffs. The name Sennenhund is derived from the German Senne ("alpine pasture") and Hund (hound/dog), as they accompanied the alpine herders and dairymen called Senn. Berner (or Bernese in English) refers to the area of the breed's origin, in the canton of Bern. This breed was originally kept as a general farm dog. Large Sennenhunde in the past were also used as draft animals, pulling carts. The breed was officially established in 1912.
