This is Marcel, a beautiful Viszla-mix, wearing our leather Jolly Juno collar and our burgundy Modest Marcel walking leash.

A lot of dogs love to swim in Summer ànd it is a great way to cool them down on a hot summer day.

But is this good for them?
OH, YES IT IS!

Swimming provides excellent exercise for your canine companion, and provides both muscle strengthening and a good cardiovascular workout. Swimming is also a great way for dogs to burn off extra energy. ⚡️

It helps them improve their spirits and mental well-being. For dogs with medical conditions that restrict or prohibit concussive exercise, swimming is very important to the dogs overall health and recovery.

The only thing you need to watch out for are ear infections! 🙉
A lot of water feeds the fungi and bacteria that normally live inside the ear canal and can breed painful, itchy ear infection. So make sure your dog does not get to much water inside of the ears and to always dry them!

MEET OUR MODELS: JUNE 🐾

It’s been a while but we are back with a new “meet our models”. 🙋🏽‍♀️

This time it is June we are meeting. A crazy-in-the coconut Golden Retriever of 5 years old.
In Flemish her owners also call her a “zonnekindje”. 🌞
She is always happy and everybody’s friend. She loves children (that’s a good thing because she is getting a baby sister in a few months 👶🏻) and other dogs. She is the ultimate social dog and loves to come say hi!

One of the reasons we call her “zonnekindje” is off course her happiness at any moment of every day, but also because she is a little “special” 😉
She loves to throw herself on the ground, out of nowhere, and starts to roll around. She does this for a few minutes, preferably in a muddy puddle. The dirtier, the better.
She also starts pulling out grass out of nowhere or starts diggin while she is still on the leash. And as an owner, she leaves you holding her leash and thinking “what the hell June” 🤨. Really funny to witness.

Another “special” aspect of her is that she starts barking at everything she doesn’t know: a statue, a trash bin, a shopping cart. She goes crazy over nothing 🤪

Junie is not only a bit on the crazy side, she is also one of the sweetest dogs and best cuddlers. If she is left alone for a few hours, she is over the moon when you get back and squeaks like crazy ‘cause you are home again. She is pretty vocal in her emotions. 📣

Other than that, she is one of our best models bc she carries her leashes around everywhere and shakes her butt while doing it. Little show-off. 😏

So ultimate summary: crazy in the coconut, but a crazy best friend.
