Sadly, online trading also involves puppies being traded like commodities with no thought given to animal welfare. Whilst many governments and online companies forbid the use of their platforms to sell living animals, it still goes on and has become a "norm" of buying puppies.

As many of you undoubtedly watched on the fabulous Crufts livestream, the entire flyball community witnessed the incredible comeback of Roadrunners Beep Beep as they reclaimed their Crufts title in unparalleled style!

After two flawless runs in 2022 and 2023, they narrowly missed out on the championship last year in the finals. But this year, they returned determined to dot every "i" and cross every "t."

It was no walk in the park—every top British team was in attendance, with sub-15-second times coming at us from every direction. In a nail-biting final against a formidable opponent, Cambridgeshire Flyball, the Roadrunners had to pull out all the stops.

And they did it! Under the leadership of Dave Maris, the team claimed the highest honor once again, becoming **three-time Crufts champions**! What an achievement!

Unbelievable how closely matched the top American teams are; between places 1 and 7 in the speed trials, there’s barely 0.17 seconds difference. Tomorrow’s elimination races are going to be incredibly exciting.

22 April 2024 marked a significant milestone in the history of the FCI.

Mr Andrea Gavinelli and Ms Lucie Carroue, the Head and Deputy Head of the European Commission's Animal Welfare Unit, met Dr Tamás Jakkel, the FCI President, and Yves De Clercq, Executive Director of the FCI.

The one-and-a-half-hour-long meeting has changed the narrative between the two institutes and resulted in continuous future cooperation and professional partnership based on several mutual targets and interests.
