We would also likebto share the next step in the journey of our working Cocker , Choco, who is currently In training to become a drug detection dog. As trainers, we adapt to the dog or puppy in front of us and work from there. With Choco , we had to search for the key that worked for him, but once we found it, there was no stopping him. While we still reward him with treats, the search itself has become his greatest joy- along with the friendship he has built with our trainer Fabbe.

this room is a training area with little or no distractions. That is a very big advantage to train puppies or young dogs to take the first steps through operant conditioning. But also to train reactive dogs from and with private clients in peace and quiet. As you can see, this space is also provided for teaching the RASCO or REST method. Our Covid detection dogs were also trained here.

A full, dry bite on a hard Belgian ring costume. Xinema Van de Duvetorre is in training for detectionwork. She had an introduction in bitework when she was 10 weeks. She didn´t do bitework since. We are very happy with the work she is showing.

WE shouldn't tell you. Rewarding is crucial when training dogs. This certainly applies to working dogs. we prefer to work with dogs that love a ball. And our trainers play a huge role in making that even stronger. In this video you see Xinema Van de Duvetorre who actually doesn't like to give up her ball. But this way she really likes to come back and play. she actually pushes it into our hands. Hear her snoring 🤗🤗🤗

Of course this young green dog can walk up and down the stairs quickly. But from now on we don't want that anymore.

Rewarding, playing and a strong bond with the dog are undeniably of enormous importance 💪

A working dog has a lot of energy and asks to be allowed to work. But just like a top athlete, a dog also needs quality rest. That is why we teach this in a completely positive way.

Trainer Fabbe wants a closer and stronger sit in front of him from his malinois Rocky ( aka Vrocky Van de Duvetorre). We trained this for the first time in a trainingroom without much distractions. We have to reinforce this before we take next little steps in training.

Those two, trainer Fabbe and Choco, seem to be having a good time. 😉 The mental well-being of working dogs is very important. 💪So playing is crucial.👌
