With only 2 more foals to be born the foalseason slowly comes to an end. But how did this third last beautiful c**t by Omar Sharif x Tuchinski (ster) make me smile when he entered the world with the most special markings (on the belly, between and on the legs) as well as chis colour! 😍🤍🖤
Absolutely amazing with his blue eye 👁️ and white lashes on one side and black on the other side. 2 different foals in 1 👏🏻
So happy with him as with all the previous ones who took all my time to not being able to showcase them all, but I will do 🔜

Also yesterday we had quite a big surprise in the stables 😃🎁🐣

Said hello to the horses in the stables, checked the first pregnant mare if everything was ok, all good. Turned my head around to the orher side, my favorite mare Hublot she whinnied at me😍 but at the same time I heard a very cute noise to! 👀 Went to check on my suspicious thoughts, and YES there was the first lovely super cute little bunch of fuzziness on the flour 🥳🥳

First foal is out 🎉🍾🎊 whoop whoop 🙌🏼
All looks very good, aaaaaannnddd it’s a filly 🥳

Soon more about pedigree etc, but first I’ll show you this pretty face!!!

As you already know, Britt van T Roosakker previously produced a 1.60m jumper by Berlin named Athena and she is directly out of Usha van T Roosakker.

Broodmare looking for a new home 🏡

Very nice older mare with proven offspring kind for children and still possible to do ET and ICSI.

I flushed one this year so I’m expecting one Dominator with her for 2024 and she had a big very nice foal this year to who already left to his new home in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

It’s with pain in the heart, but as I’m downsizing and have a pony for my daughter I have to make choices.

She is only leaving for the very best place!

Very often it goes well and that's what you do it for, but sometimes it backfires and you have to make your heart a stone. The least fun part of the job.

Last night we lost one of our horses to colic.

Our Goldfire not only went, but also took a very precious 8-month-old embryo with her. I feel so sorry for the healthy foal that it was not old enough to save.. Nothing changed in her daily routine, no other food, always acces to hay, so we’re still wondering what has caused the gassing.

To me every horse here is worth the same.
Is it a carrier mare empty or pregnant, a donor mare or foal etc.. It's all equally bad!

They are all loved, especially the pregnant mares because they make a great effort for us every time. Each time a new birth is a miracle and that because of our (surrogate) mares, so yes, it hurts and she will be missed!

Usually I always try to share fun news, but this time is different. It's not always rosy and in this way she will be remembered for a very long time.

This is also life, unfortunately. It's not always fair even if you do it without mistakes, with animals something can always go wrong just like with people.
It's a setback, but we don't let down our guard and carry on with Goldfire in our thoughts, who is now a beautiful star in the heaven 💫
