We are so happy to welcome this beautiful new cow with all of your support! Thank you all so much for being so engaged in bringing her here.. She was quite nervous when she first arrived but is slowly calming down.

We have to still name her. We would especially like to ask you who have supported her to come here and supported out Goshala to please vote which of these two names, which were suggested by Sacinandana Maharaj, you feel fits her best.

The two names are Dhavali and Hamsi and are two of the principal cows of Lord Krsna. Dhavali itself means one with a white complexion and Hamsi is derived from the words indicating swan or goose.

Please let us know your vote below!

Did you know??

This Sunday 25th of August there will be the Cultural Janmashtami festival here in Radhadesh. A big celebration for Krishna’s birthday where we expect around 2000-3000 pilgrims to come and immerse themselves in various devotional activities.

We will also have a market stand there where we will sell cards, sandesh (sweets made from our cows milk) and little other handmade souvenirs. These are all for raising funds for our cows.

We look forward to seeing you there!!

We are happy to inform you that we have the wonderful opportunity to welcome a new cow(s) to Radha Gopinatha’s Goshala!!

We are very excited with this amazing turn of events. But we need your help! In order to cover their costs and transport, it will cost us around €3000..

OR if you’d like to use Paypal: Paypal.me/RGoshala

We need to cover this amount as soon as possible since ….. THE NEW COW WILL COME PREGNANT!

We will have the opportunity to not just save one cow from the dairy industry but also a little calf who will be born here! The first after Gaura who will be a true Radhadesh vasi.

The plan is to have the cow(s) come here this week and we will have a small welcoming ceremony on Janmastami (26th august) festival hopefully, if the schedule allows.

Please let us know if you can support us with this new venture in getting us closer to the goal to making the deity department self sufficient in dairy.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead preparing for the Lord’s birthday!

Your servants at the Goshala,
Robert and Surabhi

A peek into our Goshala shift!

Every morning and evening we feed our cows, milk them and bring them to and from the pasturing grounds. During these times we are met with lovely interactions and interesting surprises.

Here is .designs taking care of our cows. The wonderful pictures are taken by Diana our newest cowworker (cow coworker).. get it? 🤭🤭

Under recent circumstances we have been obliged to send out a few rules for conduct at the Radhadesh Goshala, for the safety of the cows and for visitors. Please remember it is always nice to visit the Goshala!

> Without the presence of a Goshala team member no one is allowed to go inside the Goshala.

> Underage children are not allowed to go to the Goshala without a guardian. (this was also mentioned in the Child Protection meeting)

> Under no circumstance can the gate of Yamuna be opened to see the cows from up close. (This is because she can easily walk out of the Goshala without proper monitoring and it would be very dangerous for her)

> Do not feed anything to the cows without consulting a Radhadesh Goshala team member. (We need to monitor the health of the cows and if we do not know what they've eaten, we cannot know what might have caused the condition.)
..If you know of anyone who would like to visit the Goshala we encourage you to let us know 3 days beforehand via email [email protected] , so we can let the person who is doing the shift know that there are people coming.
While we do encourage you to build a connection with the Radhadesh cows, we need to also think of their safety. I hope you can respect these guidelines and let anyone know who wants to come to visit.

> For visiting the Radhadesh Goshala, please let us know 3 days beforehand via email [email protected] ! We love to explain what Cow care is about and let people get to know the cows.

> If you have any donation in the form of food, please let us know and we can pick it up or you can drop it off at the Goshala.

> If you need cow dung or urine, please let us know at least a week beforehand (it is actually quite difficult to catch them urinating when you actually need it 😅)

With kind regards,
Radhadesh Goshala team

Holi in Radhadesh!

On the 17th of March we had a wonderful Holiday festival with approximately 1500 guests! They had the opportunity to play holi (with colored powders), dance to the music of Uma from , have a warm vegetarian meal by Tirupati prabhu from England and have a bullock cart ride with Dharma and Jamba taking people around the property.

We also had a little giftshop where we sold Sandesh (milk sweets) from the milk of our cows, handmade Hazelwood keychains, and dry cow dung.

All proceeds that have been made during this day came to 700€ approximately which will all go to the care of our cows. We would like to thank everyone for having come and make it such a nice day for everyone. See you soon.. Maybe at the next festival? 👀
