Exactly 20 years ago, my colleague Vera and me rescued 5 little pups out of a garbage bin in Calpe Costa Blanca. Not even a day old, eyes still closed, the vet advised us to simply let them go peaceful ..... which of course we didn´t. Armed with a baby bottle and puppy milk we got them through and raised them to be big healthy German Shepherds Pups. We kept one each, the others were adopted by loving families, unfortunally, Vera´s Bimbo, disappeared. He jump strong as he was over a two meter high fence and wasn´t found anymore. Rocky stayed with me and died in my arms thirteen years later of old age. At that time the family already had grown a lot bigger with all kind of dogs living freely in nature.
During 20 years now, we have been providing medical and loving aid to hundreds of dogs and pups that crossed our way and all at our own expence without aid from anybody. This became unpossible to continue and so we founded an official Resort called Animal Love and Rescue to be able to get support and help to continue our work for thos lost and abused animals.
Earlier this yesr we started with the Animal Love and Rescue crowdfunding to raise money for the Animal home. A safe haven where lost or abandoned dogs, little puppies, and especially abused dogs can stay. They will learn what a real family means, what love and trust means. And we will find good homes for them where they can live happely till the end of their days.
