Team Paws Bulgaria

Team Paws Bulgaria Fundraising Team for the rescue and rehoming of dogs and cats in the North Central region of Bulgaria. Education and neuturing are our main areas of focus.

Team Paws BG is a fundraising team independent of any particular charity. The aim of the organisation is to offer fundraising and marketing initiatives where needed and to raise our own funds which we can distribute accordingly. Whilst supporting various rescue centers and/or foster homes, we want to allow small businesses a chance to sell goods through us, with a small percentage going to our fun

ds. Please contact us if you run an animal rescue in Bulgaria or you would like us to profile your goods or services. Donations gratefully received via PayPal at [email protected]

Lovely Dave has found his forever home❤️ and will be travelling in a couple of weeks.
He will be going to live in the UK with Izzy one of our rescue dogs from a few years ago.
A trip to the vet last week to be neutered and tests done and he is good to go.
Thank you Laura for adopting him, he is such a lovely laid back boy .

PLEASE CONTACT CHAZ TRU if you can help

Hi All,
There is a little lost soul that lives on the streets of Tsenovo (a small town not far from me).
He has been shunned by dogs and people alike and I'm worried that soon he might be disposed of!
He's friendly and submissive about 10 months old? And desperately needs a home.
I feed him occasionally but I can't take him in permanently.
Could anyone possibly give him a home?
I would arrange everything if someone would take him.

Up and out early to the vets, little Hugo has been to be neutered such a good little boy and didn't take much time at all coming round.
A week of antibiotics and neutering 30 leva about £13 50 uk price., why do uk charge so much😔
I still have trouble understanding how the Bulgarians move their animals around, a little old lady rocked up at the vets in a small hatchback, on lifting the boot there was this large goat sitting there, I asked what was the problem , the reply " too much corn"😔 Krasi did come out to treat it in the car , dont think it getting out was and option 🤣

A massive Thank-you once again everyone who attended, helped and donated to the auction last Saturday, total raised was 1927 leva, when all totals from the auction, raffle, bric a brac stall and cake stall were added together.

The monies will go towards the ongoing up keep of the 20 dogs we have in our long term care, this doesn't include our own dogs.

Many of these long termers are 'lifers' who we have either tried to rehome and have failed, old age or have a medical condition which makes rehoming nigh on impossible.

We recently took in the last 2 dogs belonging to the late Angie Sheppard, who sadly passed away a few months ago, I know a few of you knew Angie and the dogs.

We have lovely Yoko who is 10 years old according to her passport & Suma (black & white) who is 5 years old.
Suma was very nervous at first and took quite awhile to settle into a different daily routine but has come round to the change and is back to her playful self, she doesn't know it yet but she is going to the vets next week for a quick checkup and then hopefully will be neutered afterwards.
Yoko, after the first day, you would think she had been here forever and just loves her cuddles.

Anyway, once again, thank you everyone for your continued support of these events. Though it was a really hot day, it was fabulous to catch up with old faces and quite a few new faces.

Thank you
Jules & Simon xx

Let me introduce you to "Dave" (named by the people who rescued him), he is roughly 8 weeks old and was saved from being attacked by larger street dogs by a bin as he was looking for food.

They took him in and cleaned his wounds & bathed him.

We cobbled together an emergency quarantine area, since we moved to a smaller property we have no room for anything more permanent and he is now with us and had his first vaccination, he's a happy little chappy, with fine fluffy hair and his hair styles differ daily😅

We will keep you posted on his progress.

Our Story

Team Paws Bulgaria is a fully registered Bulgarian “Not for Profit Foundation”. We are not a rescue, however we do have a small team of dedicated foster carers who can step in and help with a few cases of abandoned dogs, in certain areas of Polski Trambesh & Byala regions.

We home foster and do our very best to re-home, both within Bulgaria and further afield across Europe. Whenever we can, we assist Bulgarian villagers to neuter their dogs and catch street dogs, also to neuter.

Our fundraising comes from events held at our Head Quarters, located in Peychinovo, where we have a small cafe, an arts and crafts gallery and a second hand shop. We also raise funds from sponsors, car boot sales and our wonderful followers donations.

We always need people who can give some time to help out, so please come and say hello and meet the team.
