Purrfect Pets Veterinary Clinic was established in 2008, by Dr. Bridgette Johnson who recognized the need for Veterinary Services in Eastern New Providence

We are a small veterinary clinic offering basic preventative animal care (vaccinations, spays, neuters), comprehensive wellness exam sick visits and hospitalization for dogs at this time. Unfortunately due to Dr. Johnsons allergies to cats, feline visits have been discontinued. Our office hours Mon- Wed & Fri start at 8:30 AM -4:30 pm and Thurs and Sat 8:30AM to 12 noon. All sessions are by appoin

We refer all xrays to clinics with radiology accommodations and more complex blood work to outside labs, but we do perform in house Complete Blood Counts, Comprehensive Chemistry panels, heartworm, tick fever, f***l and parvo tests. We have limited emergency services however we try to accomodate emergencies as best as possible. Our emergency contact is 809-8782, and all emergency calls require a $200 service fee at the time of service notwithstanding additional fees. At this time we are trying to promote a sense of responsible pet ownership, while also helping to eliminate the major issue of strays by (spaying and neutering) in the Bahamas. Help us along with other local animal welfare organizations to make the Bahamas a beautiful country free of stray animals, with a minimum number of preventable diseases by doing the right thing and having your pet cared for regularly. We make your pets' wellness our business!

First aid kits for pets can be made easily with some items you may already have at home! Your Hurricane preparedness kit for your pets, should include a first aid kit and it should be kept in a watertight container in an easy to access area for fast access in the event of a minor medical emergency. Keep your veterinarians emergency numbers inside this kit for more in depth advice if the situation requires it. Being prepared is half the battle. 🌎🇧🇸

Did you know that your dogs and cats require vaccines once every year after they have completed their puppy and kitten shots? By keeping your fur babies current every year with their vaccines it will eliminate the worry of whether or not they are eligible for boarding at a facility that houses multiple animals during a hurricane. Educate yourself on the importance of the vaccines they receive. Keep records of your pets’ shots for quick reference in a watertight container. 🌎🇧🇸
