Part 2
After the passing on of Matilda... well, things were difficult..but i learnt to live and cope with her absence.. Afterwards i bought to other pups that were not pedigree--only for one to be stolen with its leash. The scumbeg had jumped over the screen wall just to have my "big machine" as affectionately called by those of my household. out of frustration i sold the remaining other...i later traded my new kon D3300 camera for a pedigree boerborl. From then since, i became wired to the true boerboel....that would later form an important part of our family. we are now there yet but we are trying. I was very fortunate to meet the likes of Mpho Sekoboane and to also get to know Bogosi Moshodi Serei and AmaTerrible Twins...They played a role.

My first BB was Matilda (Tilly). The first time i layed eyes on her i knew from that moment that indeed it was love at first sight...i vividly remember the year, yes, 2012 it was! I had driven all the way from Molepolole to Gaborone Block 9 to pick her up...what a fine, chubby and playful girl she was...though her price tag was P1500--nonetheless i loved her..In my own world back then...there was no such thing as pedigree! May that was perhaps some lingo used by the rich somewhere....fast forward to a couple of months later, she developed to be that amazing prayer partner, as i would always embark on prayer walks with her. Sadly her life was cut short by a jealous somebody ( not a neighbour) but somebody who lived a couple of yards from our govt house....heart broken i was...but that is how my love for BB's started. Today i have pedigree dogs.

"This is my penny worth. I bred and raced racing pigeons for many a year. I did not want to be a average racer and decided to start off with the best of the best stock. I bought a stock pair of Putteries from a good friend witch was the union , club champion for many years. He also became my go to person for help , breeding , training , feeding and health programs. My second pair i imported a pair of Rijkards from Belguim. As i said if you cant start off with the best of the best breeders why even start.With pigeons you can see your results of your breeding program very much faster than in dogs.With pigeons one can breed the young ones from the age of 3 months. Now getting to breeding There are 3 ways , 1. INBREEDING ...............................(mother to son , father to daughter , brother to sister etc .) 2. LINE BREEDING and 3. CROSSBREEDING....................... Line breeding is then 2, Two different pairs ( NOT BLOOD RELATED but best of the best ) Do your inbreeding with the two pairs and then
breed the children crossover . Say you got pair 1. A - C**K and B - HEN. Second pair Y - C**K and Z- HEN.) , So yo got AxB an offspring will be ab ( SON ) and ba (DAUGHTER) ( 50 % of fathers genes and 50% of mothers genes ) Same with second pair.. Second pair offspring ( yz. -son and zy -- daughter ) ......Now you breed ab( son - 50 % 0f mother genes.) to B (mother ) and ba (daughter - with A ( father. Offspring is now Bab ( grandson ) and Aba granddaughter. Grandson Bab. will now carry 75% mother genes and 25 % father genes Granddaughter Aba 75 % father genes and 25 % mother genes . . Same with the second pair Zyz - granddaughter and Zyz Grandson. ...............Now you start LINE
BREEDING ------ Bab Grandson of pair AB breed to Zyz . This offspring will be 100 )% LINE BRED......................................................3. CROSSBREEDING is breeding two unrelated pigeons . The best results came from the final line bred pigeons. This was tested in races each year from distances 200 km to 1100km. With pigeons you have to decide for what race distance you want to breed and select your pigeons to reach your goal. example short distance muscled pigeon with short forearm and short main wing feathers . This will make him clap the wing faster and resulted in higher speed. Iwas club and union champion for a couple of years. . This is my breeding plan for my dogs as well. The MOTHER LINE i have selected out of the MIZPAH bloodline . The FATHER LINE - i am still looking for the right dogs."
