Our wranglers are doing great with the horse training . All of the new herd members have made a big difference this year. Plus we have opened up 4 new aspen lined trails for our riders to explore.

Good morning It’s August 17 and what a great summer it’s turning out to be !!

Weather forecast for the upcoming days is for summer sunshine and warm temperatures. Lake temperature is a balmy 22C .

Finally after two seasons with Covid and 2 seasons with fires this year has been fantastic. And it couldn’t happen at a better time because it’s our 100 anniversary!

Our wranglers are doing great with the horse training . All 28 of the new herd members have made a big difference this year.

Our feature horse this week is Elsa.
Elsa has been at the ranch for two seasons now. She is one of our biggest riding horses at the ranch. She is for our beginner riders and is such a sweet gentle giant.

We have been busy this month on ranch chores : A kilometre of new fencing was completed for the Wilkinson pasture and we brought in two more truckloads of winter hay with more coming in this week. We completed repairs to the south end of the hay barn, and we did some redecorating in the century lodge to help with the Saturday night” Blue Wranglers” performances. Our Saturday nights are legendary.

The new sailboat Laser 1 has been getting lots of use together with our sailing dingy. Nothing like seeing the sails out on a summer afternoon.

In the staff department the ranch is super excited to welcome our new bartender. She is Jane Rezende and she comes all the way from Brazil by way of Lone Bute. She has the nicest smile and disposition and is very popular with guests and staff.
