Who has kiddos buzzing back to school? 🐝✏️

Learning and knowledge are part of our core values, with Mike and Jenny having backgrounds as educators themselves.

Teachers, are you ready to head back? In case you haven’t heard, we love hosting field trips!

The tours are interactive and designed to meet the learning needs of different age groups and class sizes. They are also meant to be fun and games-with-aims are an integral part of our tours. They will run in the spring of 2025. If you would like to book a school tour, please contact us at [email protected].

In honour of National Honey Bee Day, we are sharing some fun facts.

Here are five things we bet you didn’t know about bees!

🐝 They can smell 50x more powerful than a dog.

🐝 A queen bee can live up to five years. (To give context, the average is up to 2 years but this is far longer than worker bees)

🐝 They have been around for more than 100 million years.

🐝 On a single foraging trip, a worker bee will visit between 50 - 100 flowers.

🐝 More than 75% of the food we eat depends on pollinators.

Pollinator Week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health.

It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. We advocate that our pollinators are thriving, and not just surviving, and believe in cultivating a world where nature and humanity live harmoniously.
