Sofia 🐋 is already available on our online store 🌐, but needs an official introduction here! 📣

A sibling to our original plastic-free plush whale named Eugene, Sofia is a little bit different!

We have high standards for the durability of our toys, and were having difficulty finding the right fit from a natural fabric to make a really rugged plush toy. What to do❓

Well, there are reasons plastic fibres are so popular, and one of those is their strength. 💪 But we want to make sure we're not contributing to the production of any new plastics! What a conundrum, right⁉️Not with Sofia! Her outer shell is made completely from upcycled upholstery fabrics. These are new materials from local businesses and individuals that were offcuts, cancelled orders, etc… that were headed to a landfill. We have diverted this plastic-based fabric and given it new life. Any new materials we have added in the production of Sofia, such as the stuffing (wool 🐑) and the thread (lyocell 🌳) are still plastic-free. The result is:

✅A durable plush toy
✅No new plastic has been created
✅Commercial waste diverted from the landfill and upcycled

We think that's a win! 🏆 Find "Sophia" in our online store. If you prefer a fully plastic-free option, take a look at "Eugene"!

You'll be able to browse all of our products 🛍️, complete with up-to-date prices 🏷️, descriptions, and photos. There will even be some videos of pets playing with toys to see our creations in action! We'll continue to add new products here as well as build up more information about NSPS, our goals, and how we achieve them. Local pick-up 📍 will be launching first, and shipping 📦 will be enabled in the future (please note we can still do shipping, you'll just need to DM your order until then!)
