Tissot (Shelwins Keep N Ticken)
June 14, 2008 - June 17, 2024

Tissot was able to celebrate her 16 Birthday with us at the AAC Ontario Regionals this year.
When we got home, she let us know it was time to go to the rainbow bridge to be with Zippy and Riley

Tissot was a very special performance and family member. She competed in Canada, USA and
Bermuda.
For numerous years she spent the winter in Florida competing in various dog sports.
She achieved titles the following organizations. CKC Obedience and Agility (NP, CDX, AGX, and AGIJ), She also achieve a High in Trail in obedience! In AAC Agility she achieved her ATChC and the Versatility Bronze Award. AKC Agility Excellent Title. Most recently she Achieved her C-ATCH in CPE.

She placed on the podium in various AAC and UKI events over the years.
Tissot also placed in the top 10 in both AAC Regionals and AAC National events.
We both said she read the numbers and on more than one occasion saved our butts.

She was the super star of the pack. She always made us laugh every night as she would toss around her bed and sometimes it landed on her back.
Then walk around with it on looking like a turtle.

Not often that it is hotter here than in Florida. We even have a higher heat index!

Day three results …. We started with Standard… Legend had struggled all week with the tire at the event. She got a refusal (minus 5 points). She was clean the rest of her run. But over time once again. We ended the event with jumpers. Again the tire was the first obstacle and she went under it again ( minus5 faults) then I tried to get her to do it a second time and again under it so we went on ( 20 faults) she then said ok let’s now play and was clean again the rest of the run. But messing with the tire cause time faults again. She finished the weekend with 247.00 points. Finished 24 out of 24. But I still ran the best girl! We have our homework plan for the next few months!

Day Three … we have our work cut out for us today. We are 144.86 points. We need 155. 14 to make it to Nationals. Standard with 100 points and Jumper worth 75. Never say never!

Day two in the books. We got 18 points in Gambles. Then in Standard two refusals 5 points each) and the dreaded off course (minus 20 points). Not sure what standard course time was but I anticipate around another 10 points to off. Tomorrow was start with Jumpers and end with Standard.

Day one is in the books. In Legend Jumper’s run we had two refusals (minus 5 points for each one). She was over time by 16.66 seconds. If I calculated correctly them she got 48.33 points. Gambles she got 20 points and missed the main Gamble. Goal for today was 95 points and we achieved 68.00. Tomorrow is day two and it’s a new day. We do Gambles then standard. Run clean in standard you can earn 100 points if clean. Goal is 300 points.

Day One of Regionals. You need to obtain 300 points over the three days to go to Nationals. Today is Jumpers and if you run clean you get 75 points. Then Gambles. Goal for today is 75 points in Jumpers and 25 in Gambles as she might not get the final gamble ( marked 1 to 4 ). But our buggest goal is to enjoy every moment!

Legends Sanctioned Master Gamble run today. The plan was to have flow and we got the points I was looking for in the opening. I drive too hard and had too much forward motion on the jump after the teeter. But she did what I asked her to do! Tomorrow starts the Regional event. We are running Jumpers then Gamble.

Legends Sunday Jumpers run. She stopped after the black jump to look at the grass clippings. LOL. Rest of the run was great! She went 7 for 9 on the weekend! Great confidence builder heading f into Regionals this week

Legend Snooker run from Saturday. We went for three 7’s in the opening. Snooker is not very flowing but she opened up in the closing. I push her past the tunnel at 7b and ran out of time. Still a Q with 44 points!

Legend Jackpot Level 5/C

Here is Legends Jackpot Level 5\C. The horn went as we got to the a frame. She had 40 points and needed 44. So close and she was running well today! It was recorded of the monitor they have at the event!

Happy 7th birthday to Legend. She makes us smile and laugh everyday! Some days she even makes us mad but we will always be grateful for her attitude!

Here is Holly and Tissots run. Lady T is still fast at 15 years young!

Here is Zippys run from today. When at 15 years old age still likes to run. Could not hear me say tunnel as she is 98% def… we still have fun together!

We had a refusal at the weaves and then drove too hard near he end and she took the off course jump ( #17 to #18) Happy that we got the dog walk even if we duct taped it together. End result 75 points

We had a good jumpers run. Two refusals as she saw the judge and I did not call her off and at the end of the course. End result 65 points

Our Gamble run from Saturday. Our goal was 25 points. I bobbled at the four point obstacle and she got it for the second time just after the horn….we got 21 points. The main was not good as I rushed her weaves.

We got 26 points in the opening in Gamblers. When the horn went for the final gamble was not in the position that I thought we would be. See got the distance to the tunnel but the horn went so no main points. Map reposted in the comments.

We had an off course at number #14 as I drove her to #18 on the line I was showing her and then a refusal at #18 as my rear cross was very late… end result 25 faults and a score of 50 points… will repost the map in the comments …

Legends Speedstakes run … her first run here and she was unsure at the start .. but we worked it out.. she got the Q.. total bonus

Sunday Showcase. Want to share the success story for Julie and Marvin. After many months of foundation training they complete the full dog walk in class yesterday. Well done!
