She has a name!

I needed an “O” name this time around and a lot of names seemed too sweet, angelic, innocent for this puppy. This puppy is not an “Ophelia” or an “Olivia”….. I would not use “innocent” to describe her… considering when we had them out in the yard Raph asked me “which one is this, because she’s wild!!” 🤣

And so I am happy to introduce our newest spitfire…

Very happy to report that this young man has found himself one heck of a new home! We are SO thrilled for Cash and his new owner! I foresee a lot of really great adventures in his future. Thank you to those that shared him!

I have a 22 month old male looking for a new home. He was not getting along with the neutered male Golden Retriever that he was living with. This boy will be neutered next week and so far he has been an absolute gem here with all of our dogs in our crazy household. He is fully housetrained, wonderful on a leash, knows his basic commands, and has been excellent with everyone he has met. I would prefer to place him as an only dog even though he has been fine here with our crew. He will be available to leave shortly after his neuter next week.

These two had a great day yesterday at the GLNC Regional Specialty going BEST IN SPECIALTY under Judge Butch Schulman. Thank you so much to the Club for such beautiful rosettes and prizes and for once again putting on such a stellar show. Congratulations to all winners this weekend at the Apple Blossom Cluster.

On top of his Specialty win, Gary picked up 3 Select Dogs and a Best of Opposite AND is now an American GCH!

As always, none of this would be possible without Becky piloting this boy around the ring and taking such good care of him while on his American tour.

Friendly reminder from us here at Seafever. It is damn HOT out there!! PLEASE keep your dogs safe in this weather. It’s just not worth the risk of having something terrible happen. I do know personally of Newfs that have died in such weather. Be smart. Be your dog’s advocate. Keep them out of these temps as much as possible or take precautions! Mine are all currently planted on top of A/C vents doing their best sloth impersonation. Gary highly recommends a dip in the pool or lake. :)

In case anyone is interested in meeting up with other Newfs, this winery hosts breed days at their winery and June 9th is Newfoundland dog day!

We are happy to share that we have finalized the event schedule for the Dog Days of Summer this year. In case you don't know what the Dog Days of Summer are, they are a series of dog breed specific meetups starting in May until September every Saturday and Sunday here at the winery.

Dogs are welcome to use our off leash grassed patio area or our walking trail at their leisure.

A very important thing to remember is that even though there are specific meetups, it doesn't exclude any dog of any breed from visiting us any day we are open. We are happy to see all dogs all the time!

If you can't find your dog breed listed in the schedule, just pick a breed that is of the same size and energy level and join us for that day.

Starting on August 1, all dogs entering the U.S. (including those that left the U.S. and are returning, and regardless of the country they are coming from) must be:
• healthy upon arrival
• at least 6 months of age
• microchipped
• accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt and required vaccination and veterinary documents.

Additional requirements may apply depending on where the dog has been in the last 6 months and whether or not the dog was vaccinated in the United States.
