Amaretto Something in Red 🌹 "Princess"
Hunterberry Hill Simply Impressive 34" Bay WORLD GRAND CHAMPION JUNIOR STALLION AMHA/AMHR x Hunterberry Hill Lavish Impression Reserve World Champion Halter Mare

Princess inherited her dams powerful shoulder, giving her a lovely upright neckset and a regal appearance. She has a balanced body, refinement and length of leg we love from this cross, and of course crazy neck length!! Princess is a full sibling to our 31.5" 2x World Reserve Grand Champion mare, Raven. Princess is shedding out a gorgeous DARK liver chestnut color - one of the prettiest colors to show.
This has been a winning cross for our farm and you can add this filly to your showstring or breeding program as our only 2025 Foal Offering.

Hunterberry Hill Simply Impressive 34" Bay WORLD GRAND CHAMPION JUNIOR STALLION AMHA/AMHR x Hunterberry Hill First Impression World Champion Senior Halter Mare/Canadian National Grand Champion Senior Mare/ Single Pleasure Driving

Duchess is the first foal from my 11 year old retired show mare, Joy. We have been so excited for this cross for years, and to get a really cool black pinto filly with socks and the tiniest blaze was beyond my wildest dreams!!! "Duchie" is a very affectionate little girl who loves being brushed and loved on. She makes me laugh because she is ALL legs right now like her mom. I am looking forward to showing her next year!

Elegant Art Designed to Impress 31.5" Black WORLD GRAND FUTURITY AOTE CHAMPION AMHA/AMHR x PHR Idols Manhattan Bey 34" Buckskin Mare AMHA/AMHR

Watch for Devlin on our 2026 show string as our AMHA/AMHR under show c**t. He is extremely tiny, will easily mature under 32" with a great showy attitude. This guy has a huge presence! I love his long refined legs and neck. And a truly WOW head on this boy too. He has an affectionate personality and wonderful manners in the barn.

In Alberta, the most recommended fall dewormers for Miniature Horses are ivermectin, often combined with praziquantel to target tapeworms. These are typically given after the first hard frost to control bots and tapeworms effectively.

🍂 Why Fall Deworming Matters in Alberta
• Parasite life cycles: Fall is when bot larvae and tapeworms are most problematic. Treating after the first frost ensures flies (which spread bots) are gone, making treatment more effective
• Cold climate factor: Alberta’s winters naturally reduce parasite transmission, so fall treatment helps “clean up” before horses overwinter.

✅ Best Dewormer Options for Fall
Ivermectin (Eqvalan, Zimecterin):
◦ Effective against bots, strongyles, pinworms, and roundworms.
◦ Widely used in Alberta for fall dosing

Ivermectin + Praziquantel (Eqvalan Gold, Zimecterin Gold, Equimax):
◦ Adds tapeworm coverage, which is important in fall.
◦ Often considered the gold standard fall treatment in Alberta

🐴 Practical Guidelines
• Timing: Give after the first hard frost (usually late October–November in Alberta).
• Rotation: Rotate drug classes over time to reduce resistance.
• F***l Egg Counts (FEC): Work with your vet to test before deworming—this helps avoid unnecessary treatments and slows resistance.
• Foals & Pregnant Mares: Use age- and condition-appropriate products.

🚩Quest dewormer (moxidectin) can be toxic to miniature horses because the drug is highly potent and the pre‑measured syringes are dosed for full‑sized horses. Minis weigh far less, so even a slight overdose can cause dangerous neurological and gastrointestinal side effects. Quest is generally considered too risky for miniature horse deworming routines without perfect weight measurements.

We just love this little guy!
World Of Miniatures Diago’s Derby aka “Loki” aka “T.T.”

He is exactly what our program needed for a tiny infusion, with Loki being just 29” tall!! He is adorable, ultra pretty and refined. He has a wonderful sweet temperament we have been enjoying at the barn.

We are very proud to share we have 8 confirmed pregnancies due 2026 spring 🎀 We bred our whole mare battery to Loki for this next phase of our program. Can’t wait to see what tiny superstars will happen with him crossed onto our mares!!! Cantwait to show those babies! This is Loki’s first big foal crop, and they will be proudly arriving in Canada.

Loki goes back home to Desert Reign Miniatures in Arizona this fall!

Fun memory from the past 🎀 showing Amaretto Honey, Bless Your Heart “Lady”
Lady is our Knight and Rumor line, which we crossed onto Spaz, and now are taking that Spaz x Knight (xRumor dam line) offspring, Amaretto Fashionably Late, and going tiny by crossing her on Loki, a Bolero/Billy Idol outcross for the next generation, due 2026.
I love showing a true showy Halter horse. Now that the presence and expression is in our show lines, they are so gamey and fun to train.

Our Story

Amaretto Miniature horses: Show Horses Producing Show Horses.

Our journey in the miniature horses began in 2009 with the purchase of our first 3 AMHA/AMHR registered mini’s! Since then we have fallen in love with showing our miniature horses in Canada & the United States. Our horses are AMHA/AMHR Under 34” and many are World Champions, Honor Roll Champions, Canadian All Stars or Hall of Fame horses. Our focus is on an Arabian style miniature horse with an enjoyable temperament and movement to spare.

We are a boutique miniature horse breeding program with under 10 horses. All of our horses must have a successful show history before they are bred. Each foal born on our farm is a result of many years of exhibiting, training and research on what would make the most complimentary cross.

If you are looking for your next exemplary show horse, send us an email and come visit our small herd here on our farm near Airdrie!
