Shorty is Marvel's last foal, and a beautiful filly at that. Shorty has huge balanced movement that will make her an incredible driving horse. She will easily mature Under with a beautiful head that will look so great in a bridle!

Shorty is very closely related to my MiMi (Amaretto the Pleasure is All Mine), with their dams being paternal sisters. Marvels foals have made for excellent All-Around performance horses in the show ring.

I am not entirely certain I want to sell Shorty. She would make a great broodmare for us in the future with her great genetics, size reducer, and huge movement to produce driving horses. I would give preference to local show homes where she could come back to be bred someday/the new owner would have an option to breed to our stallions.

I was keeping my eye open for a stallion to cross to that would be a size reducer for our breeding program. In 2023 I watched Loki show at the World show and I knew (at just 29" tall) he would give us a reliably "tiny" infusion crossed on our exotic mares without losing refinement, leg length, type or the "pretty factor" that we already have throughout our mare battery!

Loki has loads of leg, show expression & a compact body with a extreme laid back shoulder and a beautiful Arabian head. Loki is linebred Black Velvet which is a bloodline known for it's outstanding broodmares. We are excited to see what Loki will produce on our Impress mares and our Knight mares.

We have completely enjoyed having him on the farm this Summer as our "guest stallion". Thank you so much to DesertReign Miniatures for letting him come have a Canadian Summer Vacation!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲: 𝗔 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁✨️ There’s a reason the Arabian horse turns heads wherever it goes – and it starts with its own head!

The Arabian is instantly recognizable by its elegant and refined facial features – a true signature of the breed. If horses had supermodels, the Arabian would be on every cover.

𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗
This is one of the most important points as it is the hall mark of the breed—Small wedge shaped, broad at cheek bones and relatively short. Profile undulating with a concave dip just below eye-level, tapering to a very fine muzzle without noticeable arching over the nose.

Forehead very wide between the eyes and usually more prominent in mares than stallions, which sometimes have an almost flat forehead, but never narrow. A narrow bulging forehead is also wrong.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
One glance at the Arabian’s head reveals a distinct wedge shape – broad between the eyes and narrowing gracefully to a fine, delicate muzzle often described as “pint-pot” shaped. This refined structure isn’t just for show – it reflects centuries of purposeful breeding.

𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤
Their large, dark eyes are set low in the skull and radiate intelligence, gentleness, and alertness. As explorer William Palgrave once described in 1862, “A most intelligent and yet singularly gentle look, full eye…” And yes, a bit of white showing around the eye is perfectly normal – just like with humans!

𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞
A defining feature is the pronounced cheekbones – clean, wide apart, and with enough space between the jaws to fit a clenched fist. This allows for better airflow and room for the throat – an advantage when galloping across the desert or performing in the show ring.

𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲
Arabians don’t just breathe – they express through their nostrils! In repose, the nostrils lie parallel to the profile of the face, but when the horse is alert or in motion, they flare dramatically, enhancing both form and function.

𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
Finely shaped and expressive, Arabian ears are slightly curved at the tips and set close together. While mares may have slightly larger ears than stallions, both sexes carry them like crowns – alert and responsive.

Coci’s Simply Alluring aka “Smooch”. Shes a little underweight so shes been on full time grass 🌾 she will get there in a few weeks.
At 34” she has so much leg underneath her, and she is ultra refined. I said today her hooves look like yearling feet. 😂 as a 4 year old, she’s very cool. And a moving machine.
Hopefully she will be a first time mama next year!

Mom & I are excited to share the arrival of our first foal of the year! A gorgeous, tiny exotic buckskin c**t with a star. This baby was a team effort! We purchased PHR Idols Manhattan Bey “Maddie” from Aimee Davis, Painted H Ranch in California in 2023. Maddie made her way north to Casey’s in 2024 and then up to Elegant Art Miniature Horses in Washington to be bred to World Champion stallion, Elegant Art Designed to Impress. Thank you Kelsie for opening Lou’s private book to us . When I considered having Maddie bred somewhere before coming up to Canada, Lou was the first stallion I thought of! Once confirmed in foal, Maddie headed north to Chilliwack BC and waited for a hauler for her final destination, Amaretto Miniature Show Horses near Calgary, Alberta. This c**t has a great pedigree combining Impress on the topside with Kelsie’s Prada mare line; and Billy Idol & Nighthawk on the dam side. Thank you to the whole crew for all you do for me as we continue to pursue excellence in our program!! Can’t wait to present this show c**t in 2026.

Our Story

Amaretto Miniature horses: Show Horses Producing Show Horses.

Our journey in the miniature horses began in 2009 with the purchase of our first 3 AMHA/AMHR registered mini’s! Since then we have fallen in love with showing our miniature horses in Canada & the United States. Our horses are AMHA/AMHR Under 34” and many are World Champions, Honor Roll Champions, Canadian All Stars or Hall of Fame horses. Our focus is on an Arabian style miniature horse with an enjoyable temperament and movement to spare.

We are a boutique miniature horse breeding program with under 10 horses. All of our horses must have a successful show history before they are bred. Each foal born on our farm is a result of many years of exhibiting, training and research on what would make the most complimentary cross.
