Hi everyone! Starting December 1, 2023 Puppy Style will have some policy updates in regards to late arrival times, no shows, and last minute cancellations.
-Late fees will be $5 for every 5 minutes (rounded down) up to 20 minutes.
-At 20 minutes late, you will be marked as a no show and a $30 no show fee will be required.
-If you need to cancel I am now requiring 48 hours notice since it's difficult to fill in spots last minute. Because of this I will be changing the email reminder in Square to 3 days before to give you time to cancel the appointment if you forgot. A last minute cancellation will result in a $20 fee. Terrible driving conditions due to weather and other events out of your control will exempt this if you message me before your appointment time.
I recommend arriving around 5 minutes before your appointment time to allow your dog to potty because the arrival time will be recorded when you are ready, at the door with your dog, not when your car parks or while you're walking your dog around the area to go potty. This is to ensure there are limited delays since December can get pretty busy, and starting a dog late pushes back the entire day. Your dog can potty on my property to the right of the driveway where the p**p garbage is, at the boulevard, or across the street at the trees. There are p**p bags and a garbage available for you if needed. A lot of times the drive here will cause excitement, leading to your dog wanting to potty once they are out of the car so plan accordingly! If you arrive early and your dog has already had the chance to go potty, you can message me and I should be able to come out within 5 minutes unless I respond otherwise.
(I have been quite lenient before this point but unfortunately it's been difficult to keep on schedule when dogs arrive late. A lot of you have been arriving to your appointment on time and give your dog time to potty beforehand and I very much appreciate that!)
Also just a reminder that you can park in the driveway. The Town of Ajax required me to widen my driveway for "customer parking" in order to have a home business with customer traffic. As you may have noticed, my family only has one vehicle and it parks in the garage so the 3 car width driveway is all yours to park in! Please do not block the end of the driveway by parking at the boulevard entrance since that part is only 1 car width (because even though Ajax required the driveway widening they refused to give me a permit to cut the curb and send inspectors every time I do anything to make sure I haven't cut it!). Ajax does not allow street parking during inclement weather and the road may not be maintained so there could be ice in that area, so if you do choose to park on the street anyway please be cautious and careful, and do not block the end of the driveway or neighbour's driveways.
