Summer Renovations continue at Aldergrove Twin Creeks ranch. Roses by the new Flush toilets, a fully serviced RV pad going in for a new program locating at the ranch, horse trial participants staying for a week to enjoy the trails, track, training center and round pen on the property

We now have a professional company handling all pests on the property four times a year with a guarantee to get them under control for the entire year. All barns in the Lower Mainland had a real problem with rats and mice this last winter. We are being proactive and handling a wide variety of pests for the year!

Summer is now here with calves on the ground. It's lovely to have so much acreage that we can have the trails, track, round pen, coverall and indoor arena. The cows are our summer lawn mowers and are so fun to watch. The horses are fascinated by them. We have loafing sheds, in-and-outs along with stalls and paddocks available

So blessed to have the beautiful track and trails to ride outside at Aldergrove Twin Creeks Ranch. Everything is now green and the weather is improving for lots of outdoor riding on 35 Acres of all weather trails, the sand track, along with our coverall and indoor arena.

Twin Creeks Ranch, a horse boarding barn/equestrian center in Aldergrove B.C. has a long term, live in, barn worker position open. Duties include mucking of stalls, paddocks, feeding, leading horses in/out, horse blanket/fly masks, keeping the barn clean and tidy etc. Basic knowledge and experience in equine care and handling is essential.
Available work will vary depending on staffing and the number of horses in our care so the position should be seen as long term part time. Hours will vary depending on how the service team chooses to split the job up, but currently, should entail 2 to 3 days per week and will include at least 1 weekend day. Remuneration is on a piece work basis.
While we have made every effort to provide labour saving devices and to streamline the job, the job is quite physical and requires you to be out in adverse weather conditions.
Currently, there is a 2 bdrm 1 bath suite of approximately 1500+/- square feet available and is suitable for a couple or small family. Rent on the suite is $1600/mnth with utilities included. The suite is equipped with washer, dryer, covered deck and small yard. Smoking is not permitted in the suite or in any interior space on the property.
Training shifts for the barn job are available immediately. The suite will be available Dec 1.
There are a total of five residences on site. All are occupied by either our family or other staff. We enjoy a very amicable working community here. The successful candidate(s) must appear to be able to fit in with this working community.
Customer service is an essential part of this position. The successful candidate must be friendly, considerate, effective in dealing with people and must keep a respectable appearance. He/She must behave and communicate in a respectful manner to staff and clients. Profane, vulgar language or behavior will not be tolerated in our family friendly environment.
Our facilities include:

• 170’ by 72’ indoor arena
• 70’ by 70’ covered training center
• 60’ round pen
• ½ mile sand track
• 3.5 km of groomed all season trails
• Seasonal outdoor arena
• Stalls for up to 30 horses
• Well drained sand paddocks
We are a multi disciplinary facility with riders interested in both western and english. We have a substantial educational program with instructors in both Western and English disciplines.
