With todays meat prices what they are, have you realized that P2P ground beef is actually cheaper than conventional ground beef in many stores?! How is this possible? It's because we have not changed our ground beef price. It has stayed around $9/lb, conventional stores have gone up to the $8 mark. So, well that still seems cheaper right? WRONG! Our beef, being aged, has vastly less shrinkage in the pan, meaning you get more meat per pound (less water). Conventional ground beef has approximately a 50% shrinkage when cooked, so you are now looking at $16/lb cooked, our beef has approximately 30% shrinkage during cooking, so your price per pound is under $14, if you stock up on your ground beef for the week on Wednesdays, thats only $9 per pound of cooked beef.
For the sake of the environment, the animals, your health AND your budget, choosing low quality conventional meat is just not the best option.
