Saving Grace Animal Society operates a shelter facility in Alix AB taking in dogs & cats from many situations. We frequently see the worst of the worst in terms of animals needing medical care due to neglect and we always want to be able to help those animals have the best chance at the life they deserve. We also operate a Farm Animal Sanctuary outside of Stettler AB ! Saving Grace is here 24/7 - 365 days a year to take the call of animals in need.

** BARN / SHOP CATS **

These cats are looking to move out of the shelter and into appropriate BARN, SHOP or GARAGE homes!

These cats are SEMI FERAL and in return for their room and board they will help patrol your property and work keep it rodent free.

Samantha is looking for a shop/garage home where she can remain inside and do her job due to her age and slight loss of hearing and sight.

Everyone has been fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and tattoo’d. Their fee is by donation.

Their new homes MUST be able to provide the following:

1. You need to be able to contain them for the first 2-3 weeks so they learn where home is.
2. They need to have access to food & water at all times - a diet of mice is not enough
3. They must have access to safe and warm shelter at all times.

Given time and patience, these cats will learn to trust you and often form amazing bonds with their owners.

If you can give any of these felines a safe, warm spot for them to live their lives please message us!

** 63 SURGERIES IN 2 DAYS!’ **

After our interview on Global Edmonton where we mentioned how we had calls for 65 cats on Monday, our friends at Fen Vet reached out to figure out how we could get them in and fixed.

We have been catching and collecting cats all week and now will spend the next 2 days between 4 clinics getting everyone fixed 🙌

This is a huge undertaking - but getting all of these ferals out of the cold and stopping the overpopulation on these properties is so important!! 💕

** TODAYS INTAKES **

When we came across this picture circulating on social media of pups in a pen with bones of previously deceased pups, our hearts broke…. 💔

We didn’t know how we were going to find the time / space with all of our current intakes but we knew we had to try!! These pups needed help ASAP!! 🆘

Thanks to our friends at Hope Lives Here Animal Rescue Society for going out to gather up this bunch intaking 12. We were able to assist them by intaking 7 of the 19 rescued in total 🙏🙌

Thanks to our amazing fosters for opening thier homes and to our amazing supporters for allowing us to keep intaking these innocent animals 💕

** RESCUE **

Meet Stevie!! This sweet young man had an incident with his eye, we were called to pick him up and directly took him to the vet!! 💔

They were able to squeeze him in and surgically remove his eye within just a few hours! We are so incredibly thankful to the team at Central Veterinary Clinic for accommodating him so quickly as we can’t begin to imagine the pain he was in!! 😭

He is going to recover with us for a few weeks and then gets a fresh start! Thank you to all of our supporters who help us make miracles like this happen 🙌🙌
