Meet Star: A Sweetheart in Need of A Medical Foster or Foster to Adopt
Star, a stunning 5-year-old female Rottweiler, came into our care as a stray, capturing our hearts from the moment we met her. Initially, her rounded appearance suggested she might be pregnant, but a closer examination revealed something far more concerning—a very large mass on her spleen requiring urgent surgery.
Star is scheduled for the life-saving procedure, and once her surgery is complete, she’ll need a calm, cozy place to rest and heal. That’s where you come in! We’re searching for a medical foster or foster-to-adopt home where Star can recover with attentive care.
Star needs someone who can:
Provide a peaceful environment for her recovery.
Monitor her progress and ensure she receives her daily medication.
Ensure she is staying calm, and restricting her movement to ensure proper healing
Bring to follow up appointments post surgery
Shower her with love, gentle pets, and, of course, her favorite treats!
Despite her challenges, Star’s personality shines bright. She’s sweet, affectionate, and adores her walks and cuddle time. She’s been nothing short of a delight since joining our care, and we know she’ll bring warmth and joy to anyone lucky enough to help her through this journey.

Open your home—become a foster! A foster home provides one of our animals with a temporary home where it can feel like a valued family member. Foster homes not only spare animals from the stress of confinement in a cage in our shelter but also provide them with a loving home environment and adequate socialization, which makes them more adoptable.

What does it mean to be a foster home?
- Temporarily open your home to pets in need!
- Give them love and care while they wait to be adopted!
- We provide all food, supplies, and medical care!
- You must be able to bring the animal back and forth to the shelter, as needed.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚,

It’s me, Buster, writing from the shelter. I know Christmas is a busy time for you, but I hope you’ll take a moment to read my letter. I don’t need toys or treats this year—I have just one Christmas wish: for me and my shelter friends to find forever homes where we can finally feel the love we’ve been waiting for.

Santa, I’ve been a very good boy! I love people so much, and I’m always full of smiles, wiggles, and tail wags. Belly rubs make my day, and I promise I’ll be the best cuddle buddy for whoever gives me a chance. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why I’m still here, waiting and hoping, when all I want is to love and be loved. My leash manners might need some work, but I’m strong and determined—just like I’m determined to make someone’s life brighter.

We’ve all had hard starts in life, but we haven’t given up hope. Santa, the truth is, we don’t need much—just someone who will see us for who we are: loyal, loving, and ready to give our whole hearts. We’ve all been patiently waiting, and I know we’d make someone’s life so much happier. So, Santa, if you could sprinkle a little magic dust on our dreams and help us find loving families, it would mean the world to us!

Thank you for listening, Santa. We’ll keep wagging our tails in hope and watching for you on Christmas Eve.
