Alright peeps! It's roughly mid-season for our local high school football teams, and this one of a kind, handpainted football is up for a dip to raise some funds for the North Star Wolves Booster Club.

How does this work? It's like a regular raffle, but with limited spots available. I have set it up with 40 spots available at a rate of $5 per spot. You can pick your number from the available spots, and your name goes on that spot. When all spots are spoken for everyone has 24 hours to e-transfer the money for their spot(s) and once all have been received, a winning number is drawn. Money raised will be put to use in supporting the costs incurred by the North Star Wolves Football Team in Amherstburg.

This football would make a great gift for any football fan - old or young, but especially for any former General Amherst Bulldogs, past/current/future North Star Wolves. It would also be a great gift for a coach, or even a pretty stellar fantasy football trophy! ;)

This Saturday is the Open House Reception for the annual size show at Nancy Johns Gallery & Framing. The theme of the exhibit is the size of the canvas, and it changes each year. I always look forward to this show because it helps motivate me to create some pieces for my own personal pleasure instead of orders, which is something that can sometimes get pushed aside in this crazy, busy life. I encourage anyone who enjoys looking at art to take some time this Saturday to stop by the reception to take a look. Artists will be in and out all day, and there will be plenty to take in, as this year's show features over 150 pieces by over 120 area artists. Two of which are mine, thanks to two lovely individuals that each sponsored a canvas for me when I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to swing the funds to participate this year. Thank you. 💗 It is immensely and deeply appreciated.

All this month at Nancy Johns Gallery & Framing. An amazing collection of over 150 pieces by over 120 area artists. The theme of the exhibit, is the canvas size - which this year is 20x20. I always look forward to these exhibits. This year I have two pieces on display. My eldest daughter, Joyce, also has a piece on display for the first time. Stop in and take a look around. They really do draw in some absolutely amazing talent.

Sometimes I start out with a plan for a painting and it goes every direction but the one I initially had in mind. This painting started out with the intention of it being a tree of life. But it sat too long as just base colours and for some reason I just wasn't feeling it. And then one day the plan in my head changed in the direction of the design seen roughed in on the 2nd and third picture. But I still wasn't completely feeling it. And then two days ago, it changed again. So, this painting has layers, and extra hidden love.

had a little bit of quiet time tonight while someone took a late nap. decided it was time to start building up this piece a bit. not the direction i originally intended, but that happens occasionally when i leave a piece sitting in the early stages for a while. happy with the flow and the direction that it's taking.
