Fun Fact Friday:

Did you know that Northen breeds, AKA "Primitive breeds" (Siberian husky, malamute, samoyed, etc) have a TRIPLE coat! They have guard hairs, a thick undercoat and a 2nd undercoat that lays very close to the skin, making it next to impossible to see through. This is to keep them extra insulated in the harsh winters of the north.

Did you know: Rabies vaccinations are legally required in Ontario for cats and dogs, whether indoors or outdoors.

As of April 15th, we will be requiring a VALID rabies certificate on file for your dog to comply with provincial law. We will be sending everybody a form to fill out and return with all the required information. If your pet can NOT have vaccines for any reason (medical), a vet letter is required.

Please understand that this is for the well-being of all pets, whether in my care or not. Thank you for your understanding.

Some of you may have seen the "trend" going around of groomers aiming the dryer nozzle directly at a dog's face to the sound of an Eminem song. Although they might find it funny, rest assured at Wag in Style, this is NOT how we treat your pets. The actions in those videos are not cute or funny, those pets are already stressed about the blow dryer and being tormented even more for views, likes and shares. While we may post pictures or videos of your pets while in the salon, it is for education purposes and not to go viral at the expense of stressing out your pets.

I care about all my clients like they were my own, and my goal while they are here is their comfort and safety first and foremost. I love seeing their wagging tails and smiling faces when they arrive and would be doing them a disservice if I were to behave the way those groomers are. I build a trusting relationship with not only the dogs I work with, but with YOU, their owners.

With that being said, please know I would NEVER put any of your amazing pets in any stressful situation to go viral.
