Cats for Keeps Rescue Society is a 100% volunteer-run, registered charity. We are a cat-rescue society dedicated to helping homeless, adoptable cats and kittens in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. We rescue, foster, vet, and home adoptable cats to reduce suffering and decrease the homeless cat population.

This bonded pair love spending time with each other. Ebony is a beautiful tuxedo and so confident and comfortable with people. Nina is a blue grey beauty with amazing golden eyes. She takes a bit of time to get her bearings with a new situation but loves people once she feels comfortable with them. This pair is not quite 6 months old. They have been vaccinated, had their health checks and boosters, been spayed and neutered and microchipped. They are just waiting for the perfect forever home. bit.ly/AdoptFromCFK

You can find Cats for Keeps at Lunn's Mill on Thursday, Nov 7th. We will have lots of things for sale including many lovely signed digital prints of cats, dogs and other animals. We also have many different cat toys, as well as buttons, stickers and pins for the cat lover. If you haven't seen the pet themed doll house that we are selling raffle tickets for drop on in - it is quite amazing!

This litter just had their health checks and vaccinations. What wonderful kittens!
Pumpkin (girl), Spice (boy), Caramel (boy) and Latte (girl) are all full of energy and enthusiasm. They love to play and spend time with each other and with their foster mum. Latte is a wonderfully sweet little girl who was born at the beginning of September. She looks almost exactly like her brother Spice, but she is shy with people where Spice is very outgoing. Latte is playful and is learning to be comfortable with people. It would be wondreful for Latte to be adopted with one of her littermates (Pumpkin, Spice and Caramel).
Latte is going for her health check and vaccinations on Nov 4th and is hoping to find her forever home soon afterwards. If that home might be yours. bit.ly/AdoptFromCFK

Music … friends … and cats. What better way to spend an evening with music and friends (and possibly cats) together – and support cats who need our love and support at the same time??

Several very talented singers/musicians are coming together in support of in an evening of great music!! Here is one singer we are looking forward to joining us: AL DUPUIS.

Al grew up listening to the sounds of his father's fiddle, and first picked up a guitar at the age of nine. From Country to Rock, Al pours his heart and soul into his music. Now, a lifetime of music later, he has been inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame.

"Last Monday I was welcomed into my forever home and I’m “Queen Bee” here! I was shy at first….but will soon be the landlord! :-D

I’m enjoying the comforts and the cuisine in my new home, the love of my new family.

Thank you to the volunteers at “Cats for Keeps” who played a key roll in my journey. A special “heartfelt thank you” to my foster Mom. 💕

Update from Stevie's adopter!🥰
Hi! I wanted to give you an update on Stevie/Bruce. He OWNS this house. We were chatting last night about how he was the easiest to integrate into with all the animals.
At first, he wasn't sure about the dogs, but now he doesn't hiss at them and they're learning to play together. His favourite place to be is in the standup shower where we either have the laser going or doing hand puppets.

ADOPTED! Beautiful Oreo (or ‘Mama’ as we sometimes call her), is a diamond in the ruff. At only 1.5 years old, and a tiny 7-8lbs, she came to us after living outside for quite some time, and having her day-old kittens with her. She has been the most loving mother one could ask for. She needs her own, safe home now. She is great with other cats - providing a safe, slow meeting happens and doesn’t seem to mind dogs too much. She is great with young and old children. She is fully vaccinated and tested negative for FELV/FIV. She will be spayed shortly so she will be available mid-October. Oreo is not to be overlooked. She is a wonderful, calm, laidback cat.
