The other Stallion we are very excited to offer you is
Kjarval fra Vindsdal (IS2021101101) the only son of Fenrir fra Fet in North America.

Kjarval was bred in Iceland and his mom Grafik fra Bulandi is a 1.price mare with a Competition carrier including A Flokkur at Landsmot.
Grafik is a daughter of Poroddur fra Poroddsstoedum, who won the group of the 5 year old Stallions at Landsmot with a score of 9.05...
Kjarvals Blub is 115 and his first batch of Foals sure loved to show off!
His offspring are tall with amazing long legs and quite amazing toelt and often pace.

We are still in the Mids of Winter but if you are in any way like me...you start thinking about this year's breeding projects!

And we are excited to offer you 2 amazing young stallions with each stellar bloodlines.

Both had several offspring evaluated in the first ever Maritime Young Horse Evaluation last August...and the Foals and 2 year olds sure impressed Judge and Spectators.

So let's introduce each stallion ...

Valinn from Vindsdalur ( CA2019102742 )
Son of famous Skyr fra Skalakot who needs no further introduction...
Skyrs Blub is still 135...which is incredible for an older stallion and just a testimony of his amazing offspring.
Valinn gives his incredible suppleness and grand toelt to his offspring as well as his fantastic easy going character...and spectacular Mane!
Valinn is until June 2025 in Kentucky at Taktur Icelandic Horses, LLC and will travel home to Nova Scotia after his Breeding evaluation.

Around this time of the year we start handling the foals a bit.
They are often quite independent from moms and easily "manipulated" with food...since they eat grain mixes...
And their minds are able to figure new things out!

For us...its a good way to learn about each one and how they react
Besides...we see what the stallions create...knowing their moms well.

This year is the first "Batch" of our Fenrir fra Fet son Kjarval...and we couldn't be happier.
All his offspring were super easy to deal with...
great to know for their future training!

The results of Valinn's first Virtual Show are in...and we couldn't be happier! The international and experienced judges quite liked him and his scores gave me a happy dance 🙂

Valinn will be at Taktur Icelandic Horses, LLC until next summer, and if you want to grab this opportunity to use him for studservice, please get in touch with me or Carrie! Just 5 years old he already impressed quite a few trainer and judges and his foals did just the same this August!

So ...here is Valinn from Vindsdalur...who starts to look more and more like his famous dad Skyr fra Skalakot ...
The only thing we regret?
Not being closer and see where Carrie and Taktur Icelandic might go with him.

We are soo stoked !
This guy...Valinn from Vindsdalur...
jointed with Carrie from Taktur Icelandic Horses, LLC his first Competition winning the Green Horse 4 Gait Preliminary and came in 2. Place in the Finals with a score of 6.13 .

That means besides his obvious nice moves he handled the stress and focus of a Competition, improved his scores from one day to the next even...and that with short training ...just 5 years old.
We are happy and sending a big Thanks to Carrie...who is building him up just perfectly.

Now we wait with as much patience as possible for pictures and maybe videos of his performance.

The Canadian version of Icelandic free run ( I wish..) is running with the 4wheeler... Valinn quite enjoys !
