Here we are at Day Three. The first few days are a little hairy lol. Mom dosent feel much like eating and I watch the babies weight a few times a day to make sure they are not losing to much, but we are back on track and it’s looking good. There healthy hungry boys and we will start our Early neurological stimulation exercises every day soon

We are getting ready for D day. Georgia is definitely in the zone for delivery. She’s not in active labour but she’s getting so close. She has her space in the living room by the fireplace. Our favourite place in the winter and where her babies will be for the first few weeks of their lives. This just never gets old it’s always exciting to see those perfect little faces when they first appear and see them take their first breath. And be healthy. Fingers and toes crossed for a healthy delivery of all her babies

Good morning from Silas 🥰 11 days till Christmas and 19 days till Silas juniors appear . Silas is sure maturing into a nice boy. He has such a pleasant sweet personality (when he’s not being a dingbat 😂😂) ❤️❤️ seriously though, he’s so smart and loyal . We’re looking into harnesses for carting. 3 more weeks to go 🥰🥰 Georgie is looking good in her pregnancy and started to put on some weight as her appetite increases I wonder how many she will have it's so hard to tell at this stage as they don't really start to show till the last two weeks just hope however many or not many they are well and healthy

Georgia and Alice love the water and swimming. Silas hasn’t made up his mind on this yet

We’re falling back into summer mode. Oh how We love this time , a long winter, puppies, trips away, it’s time to enjoy the summer . Georgia is in full beauty mode right now, she’s just over 2 years old and a 110 lbs , her coat is just magnificent , we’re giving everyone codliver oil and raw eggs every day. Alice is looking o great shape after her puppies. But as usual the coat is blown and won’t be back till fall, probably ok for the summer. Silas is also in great shape , but we can’t get him in the water yet, 😂😂😂 he just dips his toes in I think when it’s hot enough he will be in There too ..

And we’re off to the vets. A good 45 minute drive and we get our first experience in a vehicle . We did great

Today is our big bath day and this morning we have been practicing our “manding” basically learning how to “ask” or communicate, making eye contact. This is a big part of seeing a puppy switched on, alert and ready to learn and communicate with thier human It’s amazing to watch it go from crazy jumping chaos to quietly sitting and watching and waiting. Pretty awesome for an 8 week old Puppy. They are learning and growing at an incredible rate right now. Thanks to Sophia for coming to help today, it really does take two people to do videos whilst working with the puppies.

Here we are. Going into our 8th week..it’s here. And what a beautiful bunch of puppies they are. Vet visit is on Thursday and then it’s time to meet our new families we are outside enjoying the beautiful sunshine this morning

After our short exercise in loud startle noises we are getting ready to relax and have the first of many naps today 🥰🥰💤💤

This morning after breakfast we went outside for the 15 mins it actually stopped raining, it was just a light misty rain . Then we came back inside and did some loud startle noises. We are not in the occasional fear period times they go through and every one just watched inquisitively and then got all excited when I called them lol. They did great, not one puppy ran away scared , a good exercise in confidence building .

We just had to do it. It’s calling for 3 days of rain so this evening is our chance to get outside It’s a super challenge for them to venture outside. One or two are hesitant, but after this they won’t be again. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Today we went out to the puppy play area where we have so much more room to run around and play. The big dogs get to come in and visit and I get to clean house lol. Puppy’s will be back in the house tonight.. it’s a gradual adjustment and has always worked out really well. We will start to explore the outside soon as long as we don’t have continual rain 😂😂it’s quite entertaining to watch them

Life is so much richer with a Berner

I couldn't imagine not having a dog in my life, and we have had a few breeds, but the Bernese Mountain dog top them all. Why, they are funny, loyal, totally in love and connected with their family, smart, playful, did i mention loving, love to travel in vehicles, swim, play with kids large and small, love to hang out with you wherever you are, dont need a whole ton of energetic exercise, but love to go for long hikes with you, they are obedient, slightly stubborn but very easy to train, they do dig a few holes when bored, but thats a minor compared to everything they give back.
