We have lots of great options for Charlie so we don’t need any more messages please!

Please help us find Charlie a new forever home.
Charlie is a 5 year old miniature golden doodle (under 40 pounds).
He is well trained and is looking for a home without children.

Keppoch Kennels is taking an extended break from boarding. I will not be taking any new bookings after April 1st, 2022. All existing bookings will be honoured.
I started the kennel to be able spend more time with my family, and it hasn’t worked out that way. Although I love spending my days with dogs, the hours I spending walking, feeding, cleaning, booking, messaging and stressing about the dogs is more time consuming than I could have imagined.
Thank you to all of my Keppoch kennels clients I love your dogs and we may try it again in the future ❤️

We have some professions tips to find Lily….
If you see her call us with the time, location, and direction.
Please check barns and out buildings.
Please DO NOT leave out food.
Please DO NOT call out or whistle
Please DO NOT use a dog to help find her. (I was wrong I thought that would help)

She may go somewhere with livestock.

We want her coming home to Keppoch kennels so that will have her smells from home, her food and her buddy Murphy!

Help!!!
I sadly need the public’s help in finding Lily. A beautiful black and white border collie mix. She went missing off leash here at the kennel and was last seen in the interval between the Keppoch and Beaver Meadow Road ~1 hour ago.
She is in flight mode. So try a command to sit or get her attention with a ball. But don’t try to catch her. Call myself (902)870-0678 or owners (867)332-0322 if you see her.

FAQ
Do I do Doggy daycare?
Technically no, I am not a doggy daycare.
Yes I can do day boarding when needed though. If someone needs a safe place for their dog for the day, where they get to go outside and have lots of stimulation, we can do that! But I can’t guarantee playtime with other dogs, and although they get out numerous times a day, they do spend some quiet time in their kennels.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Mary Lukeman (formerly Mary Lomas), and I am the owner of Keppoch Kennels.
I am most often the person who is caring for your animal, or responding (often slowly) to phone calls, texts and messages on social media.
My biggest strength in this business is my love of animals. I have dedicated my life to caring for animals in a variety of ways. I grew up on a bit of a funny farm and from a very young age have loved pretty much every animal I’ve come in contact with (except snakes 🙈). From there I took a Business diploma from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College with a focus on horses. I took that diploma and worked on a horse farm for a number of years. From there I went back to the Agricultural College for my Vet Tech Diploma. I learned SO much working as a Vet Tech! Then after a few years I opened my own grooming business, and learned even more.
Now I am the wife of a patient man 😂 , a Mom of two incredible kids, and have a funny farm of my own - Horses, dogs, cats, chickens and occasionally pigs. I run two small businesses, a funny farm, a household and try to continue to advance my skills as an equestrian, so there is ALWAYS something to do! I still love animals as much as I did as a kid and feel I have a ton of experience!
My weakness is definitely responding to messages in a timely manner! I am a recovering procrastinator and am working at it everyday. If I don’t respond, please try again. I almost always have the best intentions of responding properly at a later time, and then forget. I promise your animals receive much better care than my inbox!

Last weekend our family took a little vacation of our own. It was nice to relax and spend time together ❤️
Now we are heading into our first fully booked weekend 😊
I can’t wait to meet all of the new dogs booked in august, and to hang out with some old friends!

Most FAQ
How much is it to board?

$30 for one night or $25 per night for more than one night for the regular sized kennels.

$50 for one night or $45 per night for more than one night for the XL size kennel.

If they stay 7 days the 8th day is free.

**Edit**
Going forward their will be a charge of $10 for a second dog in the regular kennels, or a third dog in the XL kennels.

NEW HOURS
Keppoch Kennels will have new drop off and pick up times for the rest of the summer.

7-10am, 3-5pm and 7-8pm

Drop offs and pick ups can be arranged outside of these hours but there may be a charge.

Also please be realistic with a time you will be coming. I plan my day around arrivals/departures, so please try to be on time, or let me know if you aren’t. My people pleasing brain struggles with being on and available at all times 😊

I had to put my tree climbing skills to use yesterday after our cat (CatCat) ran up a tree to get away from the dogs. I knew he would come down eventually BUT
1) Jamie didn’t think I could do it and
2) The kids thought “Daddy” had to be the one to save CatCat
So up the tree I went to help our special boy down and prove to the kids Mommy can save the day too!

It is just about 11 years since my trip to Cuba with these special people ❤️❤️
Wish they were here to see Keppoch Kennels because it would never have happened without them.
