How are you doing on this bright and sunny but "nippley" cold day?

Well, the 7 Giardia kittens are doing great. The third dose of meds was given this morning and even though they hate me, we are 30% of the way there and they will just have to adjust as I am not stopping now.

We almost forgot that it was once again $5 Fundraising Friday.

These 7 wanted me to remind you of what we were up to this past week.

In our TNR Program, we were in three different spots and we spayed 6 females and neutered 3 males. We took in 7 kittens (a litter of 3 and a litter of 4), who tested positive for coccidia. So, are currently treating 7 for Girardia and 7 for coccidia. It means a lot of cleaning and disinfecting and a lot of scratches for me. Thank goodness we use wood pellets for their litter or we would be broke with having to dump litter frequently.

The litter of 7 kittens at Susan's are coming along nicely and some will soon be going for vaccination and be up for adoption.

Ticket sales have started in earnest and we are hoping it will be our biggest fundraiser ever and help to fund a lot of TNR for the spring of 2026.

We are still closed to intake of feral kittens and TNR is winding down for the year.

Once again, we thank each and every one of you for your support and should any of you feel like throwing $5 our way, it would be appreciated as it all adds up. (E-transfer is [email protected])

Here is a video of the kitties playing with some toys Auntie Whitney got for them. Thank you Whitney!!

If you are interested in purchasing a ticket or selling some tickets on our behalf, you can email us at [email protected] and we can hook you up with someone selling or someone who can get tickets to you to sell.

Things have been super busy but we would really like to get this party started....I have the tickets ready to go out the door.

Let's Rock This !!

Please Note: the successful ticket purchaser would have to arrange delivery of the baby barn from lower South river to wherever they live. If the winner should determine they cannot afford that, they could always sell the baby barn online and have that purchaser deal with it. This is an amazing prize that has been donated to us, and we do not feel that it is a lot to expect the winner to arrange the transporting of it to wherever they want it to go. We are a registered charity doing great work and the money raised will go a long way to helping our TNR efforts in the spring. We hope supporting our rescue will outweigh any concerns about the cost of moving the 10 x 12 baby barn.

5 more cats in for TNR today. We are winding down. We really wish some had called us earlier in the spring when we had lots of appointments and the weather was much better. We will get done what is currently on our list in the areas where the cats have proper shelter but everyone else will go on a list for next year.

Medication started this morning for the 7 Giardia kittens after their crates were disinfected and the litter boxes cleaned and disinfected. They get two doses of Metronidazole a day for 5 days.

The coccidia kittens were treated with Baycox yesterday with another dose to come in 2 weeks. Thankfully the vet dosed the bigger kittens for us as the medication is very bitter and causes them to froth at the mouth.

It's not a fun time but hopefully their little tummies will feel much better when the medication takes effect.

In the meantime they are warm, fed and playing.....they just don't like me (and that hurts).

Take care out there today people. The roads were tricky this morning and we all need to learn to slow down and not cut anyone off (happened to me this morning...not nice).

What a crew!! Trying to keep se these critters in when you're opening the door is impossible. So I let them out tonight. So Mango and Gracie and Marlee could meet them and see what happens. Gracie loves them. Of course, they're still trying to get use to Gracie tonight which was the second time for meeting them. They are doing very well and gaining weight. I'd say within the next two weeks they'll be of weight to get their vaccinations. But right now they're still not up for adoption. Love to all!

All movement to foster homes has been put on hold. 7 kittens are positive for Giardia and 7 are positive for coccidia so must remain here until they are cleared.

Lord have mercy! No good deed ever goes unpunished.

We could use more of these for sending out single/double feral to semi-feral kittens. This keeps them from getting under beds, furniture, etc. It means you can have them in the living room safely with other animals and move them to the bathroom or another room at night.

Interested in donating one of these in memory of someone who loved cats?? Or just wanting to help with the ferals?

If you are looking for TNR services, do NOT trap with your own equipment and then call us.

When we are providing the service, our equipment is brought in and we arrange appointments at the vet and we tell you when you can start trapping.

From this point on, if that process is NOT followed, you will be responsible for making the vet appointments and paying the bill yourself.
