Why, hello strangers.

It's the moment you've been waiting for...sort of. I'd like to announce a FARMSTAND TAKEOVER!

The FARMSTAND will be OPENING tomorrow, Monday - Canada day. For the next few months the farmstand you've come to love is being taken over (stocked and managed) by our neighbours, Meghan and Dave of Martha's new growers . If you've been to the stand last year, you likely would have met Meghan :). Check them at and follow them for any news and updates.

For me, every season is a bit of a circus between farm and off-farm responsibilities and this one is no exception. With a few extra projects pulling me in different directions, it felt necessary to scale back production and close the farmstand in its traditional sense.

I will continue to stock Vacheresse Meats with some of the essential OG lineup but otherwise Ill be growing more cover crop than crop and taking a break from the social media ✌️.

Thanks all and apologies for interruptions in service. Get out there and support Meghan and Dave in their new venture ❤️.

The farmstand is officially closed for the season.
Big sincere thank you to all of you. It won't be long until we're at it again.

Any remaining vegetables, carrots mostly, will be available at Vacheresse Meats.

Last photo taken of the garden dated November 10th.
It doesn't look much like this anymore as we prep for the colder days ahead BUT there is still lots of greens available. Big and small bags of both spinach and mix are available along with plenty of kale, chard, carrots, beets and squash.
Farmstand will remain open until otherwise mentioned. Thank you all for the ongoing support ❤️!

Lots of greenery and things and, finally after a funky ol' summer, were finally into some decent carrot harvests, woot woot.

Ok ok..

Carrots are in, of various sizes but mostly baby. Green onion, basil and cilantro are also available along with much of the usual. Rhubarb is stocked but soon coming to an end - get it while you can!

If you're after tomatoes transplants...still got em.

The product list is growing!
Plenty of chard, kale, green onion available, and now...rhubarb from the famous Lanark rhubarb patch ;). Thank you Mary Bekkers.

Lots of spinach, mixes, rads, turnips and Bok choi also available.

Duck, duck, goose.

Figured I'd take a picture. These blocks of rye rye are about to go under a less than beautiful sheet of black plastic.

Goal: to hopefully reveal a w**d free mat of mulch in about a months time 🤞.

Over wintered onions be thy goose. And them fresh geese will be heading to the farmstand in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

There's a bit of a dig going on so the stand will be closed for the day. If all goes well, as it should, I hope to open again tomorrow.

Beet greens have arrived, arugula is restocked and there's an abundance of salad mix, small and 1lb bags available.

Peas are still a ways away by the looks of it BUT salad season is on!

Lots of fresh cut mix is making its way to the stand today. Arugula, big and small bags of spinach, micros and radish (although limited) are also available. Beet greens and turnips coming up next.

If all goes well, expect to find the first seasonal mix and spinach on the shelves tomorrow. Check out Vacheresse Meats or Back East at Home for the goods - supplies will be limited.

Hello November and a cover crop of peas and oats soaking it all in.

Bulk beets, carrots, and mix now available at the farmstand. Spin is back in and bulk is on the way. Plenty of other fixings also available ✌️.

Big bags of seasonal salad and spinach are now available at the farmstand. Arugula, lettuce mix, radish, beet greens, shoots, micros and eggs are also available while supplies last.
