Summerbrooke offers a premium daycare service along with boarding overnight. The day consists of all dogs playing in the indoor area along with access to the outdoor area. They have a total of 12000sq feet of fenced in land that’s in a forest type setting with a little Brooke running through it. So there are lots of smells to check out and chipmunks to bark at!! Dogs that visit Summerbrooke MUS

T like other dogs. If your dog needs a lot of exercise due to being overweight or if they are just a high energy dog, Summerbrooke would be a great way to get those few extra pounds off and to burn off some energy for those high energy dogs. Socialization is very important especially within the first couple of months of a puppy’s life. Starting them off young for daycare is a great way of introducing them to new situations and to meet different kinds of dogs.

Nobody tells you how quickly dogs age
How one day you wake up and suddenly
their face is all white. Or how their eyes
start to seem more milky than before, or
how you have to call their name a few
more times than you used to.

Everyone says not to blink if you have
children or you'll miss out. But what about
the dog that was there with you before
your children were even thought of? The
dog that was by your side before you even
found love. Nobody tells you to cherish
every moment you have with them....

Cherish the dog. The one that's been there
by your side through every breakup
followed you as you bounced from home
to home. The one that sleeps in your bed
and keeps you from feeling lonely. Cherish
him because one day you'll take him on a
walk and he'll get tired before you and
you'll realise just how many years he's
peen walking beside you....

Irish Wolfhounds are one of the oldest dog breeds recorded in the history of man.

They appear in early Irish law tracts under the name "Cú" (modern Irish word for hound).

The dogs are known as the "gentle giants" of the canine world, expressed in the breed slogan, "Gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked".

Wolfhounds also appear on the coat of arms of early Irish kings and were revered by the ancient Irish and remain a revered symbol of Ireland to this day. The name "wolfhound" is relatively new.

In times past, the dogs were referred to as Cú (c.f. Chúlainn) and Conn. The latter term appears in many modern Irish Surnames like O'Connor, Conaire, Conolloy, etc. Through the centuries, they were referred to by many other names, including the Irish wolf-dog, Irish greyhound, or Irish war dog.

Circa 600 BC when the Tectosages and Tolistobogii Celts sacked Delphi, survivors left accounts of the fierce Celts and the giant dogs who fought with them and at their side. They were mentioned by Julius Caesar in his treatise, The Gallic Wars. In 391 AD, Roman Consul Quintus Aurelius Symmachus writes he received seven dogs, "canes Scotici," as a gift to be used for fighting lions, bears, etc. and in his words, "all Rome viewed with wonder".

According to a recent study, sleeping with pets can have several benefits for mental health.People who slept with their dogs or cats had lower levels of depression, loneliness, and stress than those who did not. The research suggests that the companionship of a pet can help to reduce feelings of isolation and anxiety. In addition, physical contact with a pet can help to increase levels of oxytocin, which is known as the “cuddle hormone” and is associated with feelings of happiness and well-being.

One of the benefits of sleeping with your pet is that it improves sleep quality. When we sleep, our brainwaves shift from beta waves (associated with wakefulness and mental activity) to alpha waves (associated with relaxation and drowsiness). As we progress into deep sleep, our brainwaves transition to theta waves (associated with deep rest and refreshed waking state).

Studies have shown that people who sleep with their pets tend to have more theta brainwaves than those who don’t. This suggests that sleeping with a pet promotes deeper, more restful sleep. And as we have previously learned, the presence of a companion animal can help to ease anxiety and promote feelings of safety and security, both of which are important for a good night’s sleep.

FAYE'S MUSINGS When you bless another, you create a ripple of positive energy that can transcend the immediate moment. It's a beautiful exchange of goodwill and intention that can uplift spirits, soothe hearts, and sometimes even change the course of someone's day—or life. Blessing is a profound act of giving that asks nothing in return, yet it enriches the giver just as much as the receiver. It's a testament to the interconnectedness of all souls and the power of kindness to bridge the gaps between us. 🌟

I haven't heard from any clients yet. So if you're dog goes to other daycares or parks and here, please keep them home for 10 days before coming. ❤️🐾

ATTENTION:
Kennel Cough has been going around the last few weeks. We have been seeing a higher number than normal of these cases develop pneumonia. This is a potentially life threatening condition that requires urgent veterinary care. Please avoid contact with other dogs when possible. Dog parks, day cares and play dates with other dogs increase the risk of exposure.

If you have any questions or concerns about Kennel Cough, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. (902)-863-3157.
