I want to say a huge thankyou to Allison at Waggly Tails Dog Grooming if it wasn’t for her quick action my dog would have died!
This storey is why everyone should get routine grooming for there dogs!! I took my dog Sadie in for her regular grooming on Tuesday and i got a call from Allison saying she was concerned for Sadie’s life and when she had her coat trimmed down she noticed bruising and red spots all over her body and that she had seen this condition before called thrombocytopenia and that it could be fatal if left untreated and that she should be seen by the vet asap! I was in shock!! I would have never noticed because of her long coat and i really could not believe what was happening!! I called around to different vets to finally get her seen and sure enough that is what she was diagnosed with and her platelet levels were at shockingly low level of 15000 and that if we didn’t get her treated right away we would lose her! So far she is responding to the meds but not out of the woods yet but im so relieved Allison was able to notice what was happening and we were able to get her in to be seen and if it wasn’t for her being groomed i probably wouldn’t of noticed the bruising under her coat and she would of passed on!! So please get your doggies groomed you just never know!! Thanks again to Allison for saving my dogs life!! Picture of Sadie the day after her groom at the vet!

Meet Jack.
Jack has an identity crisis. He’s a wiry, scruffy, unruly coated Labradoodle but all his life he has wanted to be a Black Lab. He came to me asking for help and with a wave of my magic groomer’s wand- Ta dah!! His wish has come true! Jack is thrilled with his new identity but I reminded him it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

Before and after of five month old Oliver’s first grooming experience. This little cutie was full of wags and wiggles but he did an awesome job. Looking forward to working with Oliver again.

I hear it all the time. “My dog doesn’t need grooming, I have a... (insert short coated breed here- Lab, Beagle, Jack Russell, etc).”
Well just ask Roscoe if he needed this and how he feels now! That hair pulled from him fills a 5 gallon pail packed in. 😳

I did a trio of Aussies this week. Sadie, Tucker and Lily got their spring clean ups. They are clipped with an attachment comb into about 3/4”. Looking fresh for spring.

This sweet little cutie, Shadow, stole my whole heart today. From scruff to buff. At 4 months old puppies can be hard work but this little guy was an absolute doll and so good to work with. The blow dryer was scary so he gave me lots of hugs as I reassured him. He also was fearful of scissors near the eyes but was totally fine with the big clippers, go figure!
Shadow, thanks so much for brightening my day and I look forward to working with you much more in the future. You’re as cute as a bug’s ear.

Oodles of doodles today!
These two sisters from a different mister (same household but they aren’t littermates) came to me today for a mature puppy groom. They are both well over a year old but it’s their first time being professionally groomed. While I do always encourage young puppies to get accustomed to all the sounds, sights and smells of the grooming process, you have to start somewhere and better late than never. I was so happy to do these two ladies today and they did so incredibly well for their mature first haircut. The big blow dryer is admittedly a bit scary but they had their ear protection and Penelope jumped in my arms for reassurance. Then she gave me smooches and made the hairs on her nose stand up so I had to paste them down. Hehe. I forgot her before picture but you can see she’s all prettied up.
 You can’t see it in the photo but Nala received a lion tail which means it’s short most of the way down and then a tuft on the end. So fitting for a little lioness named Nala. 🦁
Mom and dad were so impressed they’re going to be coming back for a regular grooming’s. Great job everyone! 💕🐾

Sometimes an old gal just needs a new do! Miley visited me today for the first time at age 14. She did fab! Although she wasn’t a huge fan of me ticking her feet, her solution was to turn herself into a pretzel 🥨. Thanks for making me smiley, Miley.
