🚨 EMERGENCY RESCUE: HELP US SAVE AYLA & SUPPORT HER SURVIVOR 💔

Right now, our team is on the road to Kitchener-Waterloo, racing against time to rescue a terrified cat named Ayla. She has spent the last few days in fear, trapped in a home where her beloved owner was brutally beaten by her boyfriend. As he attacked with a knife, Ayla cowered in the shadows, helpless and scared, witnessing violence no living being should ever endure.

Her owner, a brave survivor, is now safe but unable to care for Ayla as she heals from both physical and emotional wounds. That’s why we are stepping in—to bring Ayla to safety until her owner can welcome her back into a home free from fear.

This urgent rescue comes at a cost. We need $500 to cover the driver’s expenses and another $250 for emergency care and supplies—money we simply don’t have. We’ve already taken funds from our own pockets, but we can’t do this alone.

It’s a busy weekend over here!

We’ve got Karaoke and Band Night at The Cupboard but if kitty snuggles are more your speed 😻

Join us tomorrow Saturday March 1st, for a meow-velous time at Caturday hosted at Pet Valu Arnprior (3 Arthur St) from 11am-2pm! Siblings Little Foot and Teddy will be joining us 🐱

A little about the Cat Rescue:
They have partnered with Pet Valu Arnprior and Lanark & Grenville Spay & Neuter Clinic to provide adequate and consistent clinics throughout the fall-summer months.
They strive to end the overpopulation crisis by providing low cost spay neuter clinics for the community, by providing transport for their furbabies to low cost clinics.
We help cover costs for colony cats to reduce the population.
They are always are in need of Monetary donations as well to help cover spay/neuter surgeries, vet costs for appointments and emergencies, and to help us get to chartable status.
They could use
- Litter

-Soft Wood pellets with no additives are as cheap at $9 a bag at peavy Mart and Rona

- Wet Food Always a must
Amazon usually has good sales, or Canadian tire and Walmart.

- Hard food
Walmart, Giant Tiger, Amazon

World Spay Day 🐾

On World Spay Day, we want to put a spotlight on one of our community partners who do amazing work towards reducing cat overpopulation, the Lanark Leeds & Grenville Spay Neuter Clinic in Brockville!

They exclusively provide spay/neuter services, at a reduced rate compared to a regular vet due to lower overhead. Their professionalism and genuine care for the work they do shines through and we are so appreciative for them.

Cat overpopulation & the health issues that can stem from unwanted litters create a perfect storm for homeless cats in our community.

By spaying/neutering your pets, you can do your part in weathering this storm!

Reminder: our first spay/neuter clinic uber is March 20th! Our first round of emails has gone out, so please check your junk emails! 😻

Spay & Neuter clinic transports are back! 😻🚗

Our scheduled clinic dates are:
Mar 20th, Apr 24th, May 20th, June 26th, July 24th & Aug 7th

We have spots for 20 female and 20 male cats for each clinic date.

Main details:
🐾 Drop off - 6am at Pet Valu Arnprior
🐾 Pick up - Late afternoon/early evening at Pet Valu Arnprior (dependent on traffic and time surgeries are completed; you will be given a 1.5 hour notice ahead of pick up time)
🐾 Going to - Lanark Leeds & Grenville Spay Neuter Clinic in Brockville
