Join us for a whimsical afternoon of Paws and Poses for the Arnprior Regional Cat Rescue! This one-of-a-kind event invites you to blend a yoga inspired practice with the playful energy of your furry companions. Discover a unique bonding experience as you flow through gentle stretches and soothing poses while these curious cats & kittens explore, purr, and perhaps even join in the fun. Participants will have time to hangout with felines and talk amongst each other. Unroll your mat and help us get these littles adopted!

Meet Our Mysterious Gentlecat: Help Us Name Him!

Hello, cat lovers! We’ve been working tirelessly to rescue a handsome but elusive gentleman Tom, currently residing in St. Leonard, QC.

This charming fellow had been on our radar for quite a while now. Despite our best efforts, he managed to disappear for about three weeks, leaving us worried about his well-being. He has now reappeared, and it’s clear he’s been struggling more than before. His condition has worsened, and he seems to be reaching out for help.

We’re asking for your assistance in naming him as we continue our mission to provide him with the care he needs. One of our volunteers is donating a custom piece of jewelry for the chosen name. We’re hoping to give this resilient soul a name that reflects his gentle nature and the hopeful journey we’re on to rescue him.

Why Trapping Matters:

Trapping is a vital part of our rescue efforts. By safely trapping and bringing cats like this gentleman Tom into our care, we can provide them with essential veterinary attention, including vaccinations, neutering, and treatment for any health issues they might have. Our goal is to improve their quality of life and, when possible, find them loving, forever homes.

Your support helps us continue this important work and gives cats like Tom a second chance at a happy, healthy life. If you’d like to suggest a name for our brave boy or learn more about how you can help, please reach out to us. Together, we can make a difference!

Today, we received an urgent call for help after a litter of kittens was found abandoned in a school dumpster in Arnprior. Our team, along with Jeff Gagne, was quickly deployed to assist. We’ve successfully rescued one kitten, who seems healthy and will see a vet ASAP; but, two are still missing. For now, we’re asking to pause the search. We have traps in place and are grateful for the overwhelming community support—thanks to everyone, we had about 16 people out looking, and we truly appreciate it. However, we need to minimize noise and activity to avoid scaring the remaining kittens. A trapper is on the way to set up cameras to help locate them. Additionally, the police have been notified and are investigating. If anyone has information, please contact us or the OPP.

🐱 Calling All Animal Lovers! 🐱

We need a dedicated volunteer driver for a morning run, August 22nd. The trip includes a 6:00 am pickup at PetValu Arnprior, a drop-off at the Brockville Spay/Neuter Clinic, and a return to PetValu Arnprior, totaling about 3 hours. The van rental is covered—just bring your enthusiasm and care for our feline friends! You will be helping a great cause by helping us and cat owners help control the cat population!

We got a call this morning from our friend Shelly Dickie about a kitten found on a farm with an eye infection.
The children at the home named him his eyes are freshly washed, has been treated for fleas ticks and worms and fed and he is resting comfortably. Poor little Potato

Meet Domino and Tiger, two best friends looking for their forever home together! 🐾

Domino a medium fur harlequin patterned black and white cat, is about 4 years old, male and neutered. He was trapped in Gatineau with his buddy Tiger. Domino is the sweetest, most affectionate, and talkative boy. His fur was very knotted, so he's been shaved, and his new family will need to keep him groomed. He’s super cuddly and prefers pets over food.

Tiger, also neutered, is around 6 years old, and hasn’t had an easy life. This mackerel patterned tabby was also trapped in Gatineau after living outside his whole life. During his time in the sanctuary, Tiger has learned to trust and even love his caregiver, and he's the first to greet her. He has the saddest, most adorable face. Tiger is always beside Domino and loves to rub up against him. Domino is like his security blanket. Tiger is FIV positive but is otherwise healthy.

The ideal home would take both of these boys and let them grow old cuddling on their laps. If you have a quiet home and plenty of love to give, Domino and Tiger would be perfect for you!
