Afternoon everyone.
It is with a heavy heart that I'm letting you all know that Oreo is scheduled to be euthanized later next week.
After a rough battle with navicular the last few years and the recent founder and consistent abscess we have decided it would be kinder to let him rest.
Oreo may be big but he's a total sweetheart and not seeing him be able to run all summer has been heartbreaking.

Please feel free to visit the farm and say goodbye to him if you'd like. He loves carrots 😊🥰

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the stable,

All the creatures were cozy, to the best I was able.

The stalls were all bedded, and the horses had hay

The waterers all working, and the tools put away.

Everyone's getting too chunky. Invested in 1.5 inch holes big round haynets. Best ever 👍 made our bales that only lasted 4 days last closer to 7 with basically no waste. Been using a few weeks with no holes and bought another one for the other group. Takes a small bit of extra time but hey if it works it works 😂

Becker Stables outside Arthur ON currently has two stalls available for July 1st!

$500/month
All day turnout 5:30am-8pm year round.
Stalls are 10x11 bedded with shavings or chopped straw. Each has automatic waters and haynets/boxes.
Grain and supplements fed owner provided.
Blanketing and booting offered owner provided.
1 Tack locker included per boarder.
Most paddocks have grass all summer and shelters. Also have one dirt paddock available if needed. Water troughs are cleaned minimum once or twice a week and most are heated in winter.
We have an outdoor dirt area for riding and currently no indoor(highly considering !) And are constantly adding to the property to enhance your experience here.
Owner lives on property.
We are a small private barn with minimal boarders which offers a nice quiet atmosphere where you can just enjoy your horse.

Happy Halloween from us at the barn 🥰 all the horses are now enjoying more grass for a few more weeks as the cold weather settles in. Hope everyone has a safe and spooky night

Got all the really long weedy stuff cut from all the paddocks. Now just to work around fence lines to get those sneaky burrdock bushes

Some mutual grooming happening today between Amari and Oreo.

One project done. Fence extended outward to hopefully help with the snow banks in the winter. If not at least we can fit the tractor and snow blower through better 👍
