HEAT WARNING

As the weather gets warmer, please be careful with your pets. Leaving them in the car for only a few minutes can be extremely dangerous, as cars heat up incredibly fast. Leaving a window cracked is NOT sufficient.

If you are taking your pets for a walk, ensure that it is not too hot outside. If the pavement is too hot for you to hold your hand to, it is too hot for your pets paws. You can see on the second slide what can happen to your fur baby when the ground is too warm.

On days like today, where it is above 30 degrees, consider keeping your pet indoors, and if you must go outside, make sure there is shade and fresh water readily available.

Wally came to visit us today for a check up. Wally is healing from wounds he received before he was rescued. Thankfully he’s in good hands now and is ready to find a family to give him the love he deserves. He’s got a silly personality and looks like a 🐻 bear cub. It’s Rescue Wednesday! Shiloh is looking for a home!

We had the great pleasure of meeting Shiloh from Sue Pimentel Quattro . Shiloh came to the Aurora Animal Clinic for a wellness check after being rescued from a neglectful situation. Despite his past, Shiloh is a gentle giant, very sweet to anyone he meets. He is a calm dog, walks well on leash, housetrained and knows his manners. He loves car rides and adventure, but is also content to lay at your feet. He would prefer a home without cats. He does well around other dogs, hopefully he will feel comfortable enough to have a playdate soon!

Shiloh is a 4 year old, neutered male, shepherd/husky mix. He would make a great companion! He won the hearts of everyone at the clinic in a matter of seconds. If you are interested in adoption please reach out to Sue Pimentel Quattro or if you can’t adopt please share! Let’s help find Shiloh a home!
