Today we said goodbye to one of the good ones.
Impulse fondly known as Imp came to the farm in 2003 after Alissa saw him as a weanling and thought he would make a great hunter pony. He went on to show in the hunter ring as a three year old and had top placings in the large pony hunters. Christina Backhouse bought him as a three year old and he continued his show career moving into the jumper ring and competing at various pony club events. When Christina went off to school her brother Geordie took over the reins and kept Imp in work. Imp always marched to the beat of his own drum and was quick to humble you by dumping you off. He dragged more people around the farm then we can remember and it was a common occurrence for him to be running free at turn in time. Despite all his antics and stall banging he has been a constant at the farm for 21 years and he will be deeply missed. Our thoughts go out to the Backhouse family on this difficult day but how lucky was he to be loved so greatly ❤️
