Been busy with the mealworms. If you need any, feel free to message me. Now also selling mealworm frass aka p**p. This is a great natural fertilizer that does not burn tender plants. Also helps with keeping bugs away as it contains chitins. $5 for a bag of 600 grams. Can also sell by the pail full.

Been awhile since our last post, but mealworms are still going strong. Just put around 100 superworms in to pupate, another few months and we should have superworms available for sale. If you are in SW Ontario and need mealworms send us a message.

Been awhile, but the mealworms are still going strong. Also have around 100 superworms ready to pupate and turn into beetles.

For all you backyard chicken farmers, mealworms are a great high protein snack for your birds. They help them get over their molting period quickly and are great for the young chicks as well.

This was my first attempt at building some sort of automatic mealworm sorter. It worked ok, but the dust it created was to much. So back to the drawing board.

Been working on a project to make mealworm sorting easier and faster. If you ever tried raising mealworms, you will know that sorting out the pupae and beetles from the right size of mealworms is very time consuming. Will be updating with some picture of the project very soon.

Mealworm therapy Thursday 🤪. Sorted mealworms and there are lots of medium and large mealworms. Get them while they are fresh 😀 they are going fast.

These are also great snack for those wild birds to get ready for winter. Blue jays and cardinals love them.

Did you know that mealworms are a healthy, high protein snack for your chickens and turkeys? But did you also know that most dried mealworms for sale are produced in China. Brands like chubby mealworms raise their product in China where there are lax restrictions on what they actually feed their worms.

Picked up some superworms today. Going to try to raise them. Will take a few months until they are ready. But this will be a fun experiment. These guys are huge and super active.

So a lot of people ask me, “how do you take care of mealworms?” Well they are really simple to care for and the awesome thing is that mealworms will last 1-2 months in the fridge with proper care.

From my experience the most important thing is surface area of your container and air flow. You don’t want the mealworms and substrate piled to high or you could get mould issues. That is why I switched to bigger containers and the good news is that if you buy from me again, I can reuse the containers.

Here is what I do. I put the mealworms and substrate (any type of wheat or oat bran will do) into my plastic container and place them into the fridge. After about a week in the fridge I remove the container and I sift the bran and mealworms ( you can use a colander for this). I then place a sliced carrot into the container and leave it sit at room temperature for 24 hours. At this time you can remove some to feed to your critter. I then put them back into the fridge.

Another day of mealworm sorting. Had some big orders come through. Over 10,000 still available. Trying out a new type of container. Same size just more surface area which allows for more air circulation. Plus these containers are made right here in Ontario and are really good quality.

Mealworm sorting today. Nothing as therapeutic as running your hands through a bunch of mealworms 😁. Trying chick starter as my food, much higher in protein, so healthier and bigger mealworms.

Hello everyone. We are a local family in the Aylmer area, that started raising mealworms as a hobby for my 7 year old son. His goal has been to buy more geckos, now he said he wants to save money for a house. Big goals but they are good goals. Now we are producing 50,000+ a month and expanding. We are also considering raising superworms and waxworms in the future.

At this time we are supplying live mealworms to this awesome area of Southwestern Ontario.
