In comparison to other Goldador litters, these two girls are more Golden Retriever in energy level and personality.
By this I’m saying they are more moderate in energy level.
Chloe is a bit more independent in nature, loves to play fetch and enjoys interaction with her handler, but is also happy to find a chew toy and settle down in a corner keeping herself occupied.
Chloe will likely be taller than Leia, with Leia being more solidly built and a bit shorter.
Leia is affectionate, and loves to cuddle. She takes a bit more time to engage in playing fetch, but when she’s in the game, she loves it. Leia is very human focused, eager to go wherever her human goes, sit with her human, and enjoy the companionship.
These are some traits we’ve been observing, but they are babies, and so much of who they become depends on the training and nurturing they will receive in their homes.
Both will look basically like a lab, short coat, possibly a bit filler or thicker, softer than a purebred lab.

🌸 Aspen’s crew in their first snuffle session! 🥰 These sessions are great for mental stimulation. Experiencing and learning through their senses, in this case through their sense of smell. Pet experts say 10 minutes of snuffling is equivalent to 1 hour of physical exercise.

🐶 PUPDATE!!! Fudgie + Everly’s crew transitioned out of their whelping box yesterday and began crate training today. 🥰 They are already 5 weeks!
We start off introduction to crate training with a buddy for a week, and then they begin solo crate time with a snuggy. The little fluff balls are doing fairly well for the first day. The familiar scent of a sibling helps make it easier to adjust. ❤️

In asking Wade which qualities were more important, he said:
“Most service dog users prefer a more docile, calm dog, unless they are very active and have extra time for training and exercise.
I would say both Kodi and North would have a high success rate.”
For Jennifer, a calm dog was definitely appealing in light of the stress during Max’s episodes, and the meltdowns caused by medication changes. She hardly needed an energetic puppy to deal with as well.
Another thing I wasn’t sure about and was having a hard time finding an answer for was whether the tenderhearted or the unconcerned response would be a better fit.
Most research indicates that the pup needs to be unaffected by the distress so they can redirect their person and deescalate the situation without becoming too emotionally disturbed themselves.
This would depend on the medical condition, and the tasks the dog is expected to perform.
Finding answers for seizure alert/response was difficult.
Since most research indicated the unruffled pup was a better fit, our primary focus was deciding between North and Kodi.
I wanted to be sure we had that right so I reached out to Jessa again.
My question is this:
Am I correct in thinking that you don't want a sensitive pup for seizure response because they could be too overwhelmed when Max is having a seizure and become anxious and unable to cope with their responsibilities?
I sent the Temperament Testing videos to her.
Jessa’s Response:
“Hey Katherine,
Those all look like very sound and sturdy puppies. :)
We find that the more sensitive dogs are often better at medical alert actually. Also, the more dependent and clingy ones often excel at it.
If I was choosing a pup to raise and train for medical alert from these 3 and this was all I saw, I would pick Ori.
I love how clingy that puppy is and how he raced over during the crying.
Kodi seems confident and has good energy.
