Come join our team!!!
Three very different and very special
mares available for half lease (bay), and full lease (grey and black) (shared half lease could be an option). Out of barn leases considered to solid programs (please have your trainer contact me!).
1. Grey. Tons of show miles. Fun ride and uncomplicated. Could potentially extend lease for next season. Super 2'6"- 2'9" type.
2. Black. Safe and sane. Ideal puddle hunter, or would be so fun in the silver level low jumpers. Never stops at a jump.
3. Bay. Greener and requires a more experienced rider, but nothing nasty ever. Just more forward. Limited show mileage.

The leases are not all free, but they are reasonable, especially to stay in barn.

Monthly board (full) cost is $1300 plus hst and includes eight lessons per month. Full lease would include vet and farrier.

Looking for great matches for great horses.
Showing possible if we can find more passes. 🙂

Razzle Dazzle -Wonderful 13.2hh medium pony available. Older gentleman, born 2003. For lease only to the most wonderful of homes. Raz has been a rockstar for his years with us, bringing 2 kids from complete beginners to the medium ponies and the 0.7 jumpers, and introducing a 3rd to the silver circuit with success in both rings. He does not lead change, but will usually land the leads, and his great jump and honesty keep him in the prizes every show. He is a safe and wonderful teacher that lets the kids learn softness, confidence, and is a joy to have in the barn. He's a hack prize, jumps beautifully and has a big step. Trail rides, did cattle sorting, etc just an all around wonderful pony. Lease fee in the mid to high fours. A wonderful home is the most important piece for this special pony. Part Board/Half Lease Options Available for 2024!!!!

Ever After - Evie is a truly adorable Canadian horse, not tall at 15.1hh but does take up a lot of leg! She is safe and fun, well broke, jumps around a course, and has done some limited showing at Angelstone this summer. She is a push ride, but also has personality, and an opinion. Super fun ride for someone wanting to get back in the saddle, or someone who needs confidence over jumps. Available as a part board to a full half lease option with lessons and/or showing options depending on the price point and the match.

Copenhagen - Axel is a lovely young thoroughbred with a good canter and a great jump. He's spent some time at Angelstone but has not yet shown. Jumping courses at home, but still needs an experienced rider to continue his development. Available for sale, lease or half lease with lesson and showing options.

Coco Chanel - Coco is a warmblood mare, 15hh. Tons of miles on the Trilliums and Silvers. Good mover, great jumper. Has an engine and loves a confident forward ride. Available for a part board or possible half lease with lesson options.

Paros II - Oliver is a lovely, tall thbd gelding. Many miles on the silvers up to 2'9. Had an unfortunate accident this year and missed most of the season, but did qualify for playoffs in the 2 shows he did attend. Oliver does require an experienced rider - he's a big boy, but is brave and solid to the jumps, and is ready to go! Available for half lease with lesson and showing options.

A Perfect Brew - Brew is an attractive, 16.2 thbd mare. She has shown the silvers in the hunters with great results, and this year debuted in the jumper ring. She has a great lead change, and is a lovely partner for a confident, experienced rider. Available for part board or half lease. Lessons and showing options are available.

09/22/2023

Midsommar - 2009 chestnut thbd mare. Arya had a late start in life and showed for the first time this season on the Angelstone Silver Circuit. She is brave and big strided, and was uncomplicated in both the 2'3" hunter rings and the 0.6/0.7 jumpers. In the ribbons each week, but will need continued work to develop her changes. She hacks happily and has had a super brain all season. Probably not for your complete beginner, but ready to be finished to have all the skills in all of the rings., Lowest of 5's to buy. Paid lease or lease to own option would be considered to the perfect home.

Why all the worry?

Yes, I used this photo to get your attention, it was taken when we had a photographer here to get some action shots. The youngster didn't think it was as good of an idea as we did apparently and as often is the case the unexpected happened. No one was harmed, it was just a near miss but it could have been bad.

Often times I encounter people that spend the majority of their time spent with the horse worrying about all the things that could go wrong that they forget about all the things that could go right.

Allow me to get personal for a moment. I have been kicked, bit, bruised and have broken six different bones in my feet. I have broken fingers and toes, the multiple sprains sure hurt. I have herniated two disks in my back and have fractured my L-5 vertebrae.

Please understand I don't tell you this to brag or to cry for pitty but instead to hopefully help others by avoiding some of the foolish things I've done as well as to encourage others by reminding them that to me at least, it is worth it.

Thankfully most of the injuries happened years ago and they caused me to rethink how I did things causing me to get much better and develop my skills.

The horse gives me life, freedom and a never ending passion to get better, to be better. In my horsemanship and as a person. I strive to be as honest as the horse and I can only hope to be as forgiving as they are.
They often teach me to think outside of the box and come up with solutions to problems that some of the difficult horses bring up.

We could get bucked off, broken bones may happen, danger is a possibility whenever dealing with the large size of a horse. If I spent every moment thinking about the injuries I have felt and allowed that to paralyze me I would infact only rob myself of the life that the horse provides me.

Instead I am determined to keep riding and allowing the horse to be a median to encourage others in life first and then with their horse.

I have determined to, that we all have to have faith in something, we have to trust. Everyday we drive mere feet from drivers with a combined speed of the two cars capable of killing us but we trust that won't happen. We don't know the driver, what they have put into their body that may impair them. Nor do we know if they are going to fall asleep or have a medical issue causing them to hit us, but we trust they won't.
We trust the car manufacturer and the mechanic that we are driving a safe death trap that could malfunction in numerous ways.

Instead of worrying all the time let's remember to be a leader to our horse, to continue gaining "tools for our toolbox", and be proactive instead of reactive; keeping the horse asking us for what's next. This is key to not only developing a safe horse but also keeping them that way. Spending our time enjoying our journey. Going back to the photo, this same youngster that was trying to readjust my head position is Liberty, the horse we now trail ride bridleless. Obviously things are now going well.

The following quote, by Erma Bombeck, was shared at church this past Sunday:
"Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere."

That quote can be applied to so many areas in life.

Whether you’re in an intense jumping lesson with your trainer or casually hacking on your own, we teach our horse every time we sit on it. What’s important is that we use this super power for good! It’s just as easy to train your horse bad habits as it is good ones, and these often […]

It's that time of year again! Here are a few tips to make no-stirrups work beneficial for you...and your horse's back!

DO: Do no-stirrups work on a horse you feel safe on, and work with a coach especially if it's something new for you.

DON'T: Go cold turkey. Removing your stirrups completely for your whole ride could lead to fatigued riding and bouncing...which could be hard on your horse's back

DO: Take breaks. Unless you and your horse are super fit, an hour of no-stirrups sitting trot is only going to turn in to a sloppy bouncy situation which isn't going to benefit either of you.

DON'T: Feel pressured to canter or jump without stirrups if you aren't ready.

DO: Ride "toes up" (i.e. dorsiflex your ankles). This helps to stabilize your calf.

DON'T: Feel bad if you can only manage a few minutes at first. It takes times for our muscles to adapt to new patterns.

DO: Experiment with rising trot with no stirrups. Hello thigh muscles!

DON'T: Ignore signs that your horse may not be enjoying the work. Ears pinned, head tossing, nappiness, tail swishing, hollowing the back, etc are all signs that they have had enough for one session.

DO: Warm up in walk and rising trot before going into sitting trot without stirrups.

DON'T: Expect miracles in one month. It takes a while for our bodies to develop new balance, movement patterns and strength. Use NSN as a launching board for developing your seat continually throughout the year!

DO: Have a "holy $ #!%" strap in case of emergency. An old flash strap across the D-rings works well! 😉

DON'T: Stop working on improving your seat. It is everything! Book a rider biomechanics session to improve your alignment, balance and stability in the saddle 💪

DO: Treat your horse to a chiropractic visit to ensure their back is feeling its best! ❤
